It all started 6 wks after she gave birth,she was doing really fine not until 1 wks ago,she stopped eating,i thought it was the normal behaviour dams normally have when nursing their puppies, but mine wasn't the case, i would give her food but she wouldn't eat it,but will drink only water.the worst started day before yesterday,she started stooling black substance(what we call melena),she even stopped standing and moving about,i called my vet and told him the current situation,HE came around,examined her and gave her couple of Injection. He said he wasn't sure my dog would survive but we should have hope.
At about 5:30pm yesterday, she started screaming and shaking on the floor,i went to her ,touched her and she was still breathing.all through the night i was sitting close to her not until 4 to 5am she made a little noise and passed away.i started calling her by her name,but she didn't respond.that was when i knew that my baby girl has left us .R.I.P sarz,if i had known having a baby would ruin you,i wouldn't have mated you. R.I.P sarz i will forever Miss you.

This brought tears to my eyes, I remembered my pet milky, a monkey grandma brought from her work place. He made us laughed with his little tricks and funny facial movements when he gets angry.

I missed those little hands I find funny when he grabs my hair whenever I tried to get hold of him.

Such a lovely animal. Always playing and galloping around. I was the proudest guy , while she lived. Sad death had to take her when it did. It started that early morning. While she bleated and battled for life. We held on and did all we could.

RIP Airforcew2. We that ate you still want more.

Sorry bro. I have been there twice and I know the feeling. Keep one puppy of hers and name it after her. Sorry man.

I have experienced same in the past as well.
It takes real effort to move on...

thanks bro.the last pup i kept died in the space of one week after i got her back from the Guy i sold her too,that was on Feb,I've moved on tho.

yes bro,that's why i never updated the thread.

Never knew nigerians can be so much caring and attached to dogs and pets. I thought they eat anything or everything on fours due to the topics always hitting the fp about animals been killed..
