Wouldn't it have been easier to licence build popular regional turbos for which Denel already has the skills and personnel ? I get the distinct impression this is mainly a vanity project. the guy is only comparing submarines to sharks and not saying submarines are used to deter sharks. just like shark would deterre poeple from swimming in a place , potential attackers would be deterred from south african water where there is submarines.
