I don't think y'all should be concerned about SHL past questions for maths. They won't help.Just know that the test comprises simple questions and hard questions. Those hard ones are just there to waste your time(IMO). The key thing is to do the ones that are simple first and go back to the hard ones (and that's if time permits). I think the focus should be on the logical reasoning. Check GMAT past questions. They seem to have lifted some questions from there (and that's if it's the same set of questions for everyone) and just like the numerical, there were simple and hard ones. Don't waste your time on the ones that are complicated. Forge ahead my friend and aim for an average score.
Before anyone asks, I am also an applicant o

Not quite correct, after this stage its medicals and documentation, its after the successful completion of all these stages that we can expect the long awaited training school admission/invitation email from First Bank Nigeria and then we can start popping champagne, I sure would pop! grin

These processes are pretty for formality sake. No one is really expected to fail them except they don swear for you.

grin "formality sake" you say? Its like you don't know what a management trainee recruitment is all about, assessment center is meant to sieve out the very best from the best, even basic contract jobs go through aptitude test and then interviews which are never mere formalities as people are still dropped, but I would wanna fantasize in your assertion though, knowing for sure admission into training school is 100% grin

Someone said a HCP resource person told him that just 12% of us that wrote the aptitude test qualified for AC and First Bank has capacity to employ all of us, First Bank Nigeria you guys should just invite all of us to training school na smiley We promise to be all good in training school okay? grin

In my mind I have been doing some rough maths of how many we are, let's say because there was a criteria of 27 years limit(as at Dec 2016) and the fact that some people who don't like bank jobs; let's say 70,000 people applied, then 7,000 were invited for aptitude test, 6,000 wrote the test and 1,000 missed the test. 12% of 6,000 is 720 who are invited for AC.

How many branches including head office does FBN have? Roughly 700 new management trainees fresh from training school can easily be absorbed nationwide can't it? Invite all of us 12% that passed aptitude test to training school jor! grin

*only fantasising o!* grin

Formality indeed, just let your bp rise small from all these unnecessary arguments we go through on this and other threads and see if them go pick you, no stage is a formality in a recruitment process. But you can choose to believe whatever makes you happy and sleep well in da night... lols..... Bottom line is, you got to give in your best at every stage and pray for the d rest

I think there's no way FBN will employ so much persons. I know they are the largest bank in Nigeria, with the largest number of branches but I don't think they will be employing so much persons.720 geeez!

Perhaps u are right sha. Now they outsource most of the major projects like this recruitment and last year they migrated their banking software to finacle. They pay huge monies to have companies do these projects for them. Maybe, they can bring in a lot more people amongst us and train them in these areas so they reduce the huge amount they spend to maintain some of these projects.

Management trainee ?? I never thought this is what we will be trained on only.

What i really meant was after one scales the AC hurdle and u are now invited to do ur medicals and do documentations, you should be expecting that you are certain to be called to the training school. That why i said the documentation process and medicals are mere formality. AC and aptitude test are where the real challenge lies.

Finacle has always been FirstBank's CBA. They only migrated from Finacle 7 to Finacle 10 in 2012.
