But Igbos have always denigrated that aspect of Yoruba culture, claiming that such is servitude and not tolerated in the so called republican culture of the Igbos.

So what happened to such claims by the Igbos? Why is the OP and similar hypocrites hyperventilating for being called out?
So Igbos have now learnt to adopt Yoruba culture that they have always denigrated?

The hypocrite is the one who has always criticized such behaviour only to now find excuses to tolerate such now.

The many instances are on Nairaland, and I will dig it up if this hypocrisy continues, just like the Igbos that were gloating over Yoruba marginalization despite voting Jonathan into power in 2011.

The Igbos are hypocrites by nature.

They denigrate the culture of others only to be found doing the same thing.

They wanted a country without a secession caveat such that war would be the result of such action, only for them to suffer that circumstance.

They introduced the assassination of their military colleagues in our national history, only to be meticulously wiped out of the army in the return match.

They decreed a unitary system of government, only to be wailing about regional independence and restructuring having lost out in the power struggle to dominate that unitary system.

They denigrate any Southern tribe that associates politically with the North, but history tell us these hypocrites were the first to fraternize with the North for political power in 1960, 1979, and even in 1993.

Very miserable irritants who believe everybody owes them in a grand delusion that has infected up to the DNA.

I'm amazed honestly, my problem with them is that they think they are suppose to defend everything that concerns the igbos, they just don't know when to draw the line and condemn what's not right. Since when did igbos start bowing to any mf?? Disgusting hypocrisy

You want to shift the goal post again? The old Nairaland threads are there to shut you up.

When we present you with this hypocrisy later when your people embrace decent cultures and start rolling, you will then claim rolling on marble floor is not the same as rolling on cement floor.

Nnamdi Kanu Bow Saga - The Hypocrisy of Yoruba People Must Be Exposed in 3D. Everyday I wake up to see useless threads by yorubaas of people bowing to Nnamdi Kanu. And I ask myself: Yorubas, what is your gotdam business if we choose to bow down to our leaders or people who hold to a high esteem? Have we Biafraans ever made caricature of your people lying down and rolling on the floor to greet your elders? We are aware of your culture, what you do, we respect you for what you do even though we may not like it because that's who we are. So why then are you putting your nose in something that is not your business, even mild compared to what you people do? Can I get a sensible yoruba to condemn this? Same Nnamdi Kanu has been seen bowing to Igbo Elders...Ekwueme, John Nwodo, Achuzie, Nwabueze, then what is wrong if people bow to him also? I cannot understand this level of hypocrisy and foolishness. What is even deplorable is that thread made it to front page...HELLO YORUBA? For Goodness sake.,..you lie down to great your elders, no other tribe in Nigeria or in the world does that. But every tribes or people in the world bow to other people as a sign of respect.

Nnamdi Kanu Bowing to Igbo Elders

Igbos generally do not bow. Im Igbo and I have never bowed to anyone, not even the king of my village. However, Kanus case is exceptional. A lot of Igbos are coming to see him as a liberator, peharps even a replacement for Ojukwu. In that sort of scenario, I can understand why some Igbos would bow to him. As for Kanu bowing to some elders, he is a judaist, I believe its part of his program

Re: Nnamdi Kanu Bow Saga - The Hypocrisy Of Yoruba People Is Laughable by kingzizzy: 8:19am On Jun 23, 2017
Some Yorubas are laughable. They bow to any elder. A few people bow to Kanu and they take it that the entire Igbo nation has adopted bowing as a way of life. I suspect that what actually makes them angry is the respect that Kanu is getting. They thought that after flashing pictures of Kanu in handcuffs, Kanu would have no face to show upon release. They did not know that those pictures did the opposite, and elevated Kanu to position of an authentic freedom fighter. There were many Igbos who were not sure of Kanu until he was arrested, detained, denied bail, brought out in handcuffs and ridiculed. Then those Igbos asked themselves why such a man would leave the comfort of his London base to willingly come back to Nigeria to suffer all this if he wasnt authentic. Kanu proved them wrong, and hopefully, by the time this all over, I will be applying for my Biafran passport.

How is Yoruba culture your headache too?

When will your miserable people start minding their business and stop denigrating other people's culture even while as a refugee in others' region?

Continue to prostrate to those you respect since you have all now revealed yourselves as hypocrites that like criticizing good behaviour, only to finally learn how to respect people.

I can see you are a premature here and not even a baby.

Because even a baby knows that all you have said above is from a position of acute ignorance or pathological lying.

Igbos don't care, yet they always run their mouths dissecting the actions or inactions of others, even up to the point of wailing about what others are doing in their own God giving region and states? Because your people are vagabonds without a home or culture, doesn't give you the right to criticize the traditions and customs that those who accommodate you hold dear and sacred.

In all, I am happy that the Igbos are eating their own vomit as regards this aspect of African culture that was previously absent in your omenala.
