My Take On Hausa, Igbo And Yoruba Relationship by Hopeful20100(op): 7:13pm On Jun 23, 2017
A typical Hausa man has no problem with an Igbo, and vice versa. Both travel out of their regions to do business, and adapt to the culture wherever they go. Hausas in Igboland speak Igbo, and Igbos in the North speak Hausa. The problem of this country is Yorubas. They don't travel, even those that are in the North and Igboland cannot speak Igbo or Hausa, even when they have been there for ages. The earlier Hausa and Igbos realize the cancer of this country is Yorubaa...causing trouble left and right.

This op is a compound fool. How many Indians after spending decades in Nigeria can speak a local language? So if am based in a part of Nigeria it is mandatory that I speak their local language? And also not learning another language makes us Nigeria's problem? You are very stupid. Why shd anyone learn a language that doesn't put food on the table? Please take ur stupidity elsewhere. Aridin.

what are u insinuating, am a Yoruba who lived most of my past years in agege where we have large numbers of Hausa been to the north only once and I can speak Hausa fluently. how many igbo man can speak Yoruba fluently despite living in Lagos for decades.??
Re: My Take On Hausa, Igbo And Yoruba Relationship by Ereolamide: 8:08pm On Jun 23, 2017
Obviously, Igbos never had problem with Hausas and never will, that is why Hausa women bring out their good ole teats for igbos to suckle on during any crisis either ethnic or religious.

That is also another good reason why Fulani herdsmen are welcomed with fanfare in Igbo land

If you mean travelling to place without any sort of benefit for you, yea Yorubas don't travel, we can survive within the boundaries our land, when we want to, places like the UK, USA, Ireland and Canada are our most preferred destination.

Mr, is that all you want to write down or you still want to add more? You said Yoruba don't travel, so if they want to travel, na your barren land will now be destination. Does your barren land looks like US, Europe, America, Asia where Yoruba people prefer to go? If traveling to igbo land is what made you term that Yoruba don't travel, then yes. Cos asking Yoruba to travel to igbo land is like asking Americans or Europeans to travel to Africa. To do what abeg?

@Op, you are right jare! The only language goats understand is violence and that is why you love Hausa. Yoruba travel a lot, but to better places with better opportunities, not to places like the very barren ibo region which is worse than our area, that even ibos are trooping out of. Any Yoruba leaving their region for any other part of Nigeria is regressing and we don't want that. I just hope that Yoruba are paying attention. While we don't have it in us to be violent, we can at least change tactics. Eni ti a ba s'ore fun ti o mo, ti a ba s'eka fun ko le mo! I'm not advocating violence but we can put measures in place to make these ungrateful aliens very uncomfortable so they can start singing our praise too.
