Nate hurried to his office.
He had been too busy with work the previous night, that he ended up going to bed by 3AM, and just when he was beginning to enjoy the sleep his mum called his phone to tell him that it's 7:AM, he almost left the house without clothes due to the rush.

''Sir!'' His P.A, Mr Adeyinka called after him.

''Yes'' he replied impatiently, he wasn't in the mood for any unecassary talk, he just need to get to office, so he could complete what he was working on.

''I've managed to get a new secretary'' The P.A informed him.

He looked at wristwatch ''it's 10AM''

The P.A gave him a confused look.

''It's 10AM, so you mean you got me a secretary, a competent one in less 15 hours?'' he asked the now smiling P.A.

''Yes sir, we just announced the vacancy on our website and in less than 5 hours, 100 people already applied, finally this morning, with the help of other staffs, I was able to narrow it down to 10 and i invited them for an improptu interview and only 5 complied, so it was so easy'' Mr. Adeyinka explained carefully, but unfortunately Nate wasn't listening, he was busy planning his day in his head.

''Uhm, thanks, so when is she resuming'' he asked already walking away, there were lots of work that needed to be done and clearly, a high percentage of the work was waiting for him.

''Next week monday'' The P.A replied, behind him.

''Call her to resume tomorrow!'' he said in a tone of finality and left to his office.

He got to his office and pulled out a can of water from the small fridge and then sank down into his chair.

He rubbed his forehead in a back and forth motion, thankfully, lately he has not not had any dream about Bella which were to him a nightmare.

But that wasn't what he was concerned about, his primary concern now is the constant thought about Bella which looked like they have come to stay.
He always found himself thinking about what could have been if only she had not been selfish.

He stand up with a loud hiss and switched on his laptop ready for the day's work.

He soon started working with an attitude of ''To hell with the thoughts and Bella herself''

For K.C, another new day meant another day filled with the thought of Dami.

He was lying in his bedroom, smiling as the thought of Dami filled his mind, everything about her intrigued him.

The lady is just too perfect to be human!

His smile widened, when he remembered the last time they spent together, she had cooked for him and he enjoyed every bit of the deliciously prepared jollof rice and plantain.

Whoever said Yorubas do not know how to cook obviously lied the lie of the century!

He had watched her through out and he was fascinated.

This was the first time he allowed a lady who wasn't his mum to cook for him.

He still couldn't put a finger to why he was doing all this and he couldn't explain the kind of feeling he was experiencing.

It's definately not love!

''It's not love, I just respect her alot'' He muttered assuringly.

The ringing of his phone interrupted his moment of reminiscing.

''What do they want now?'' He asked with a scoff sound before pressing the answer button.

''Hello baby sisters'' he said immediately, he didn't need a soothsayer to tell him that they were together and he was on loudspeaker.

''Graduation is next month'' came the reply from Maryann.

''Staying abroad has made you loose your manners obviously'' He said with irritation, this twins were beginning to annoy him.

''sorry'' Mary apologized.

''Thanks good sister'' he replied.

''Good sister ko, bad sister no, Graduation is next month and you must come, no excuses'' Maryann said again with that annoying tone of hers and he wished he could fly to where she was and give her a brain resetting slap.

''I'm busy, I can't come'' he informed them without remorse.

''Busy with lie, lie Ph.D programme, stop deceiving yourself and go home to mum and dad, so they can keep baby sitting you since you've refused to get married'' Maryann fired at him.

''I didn't refuse'' he defended himself.

''I didn't refuse'' Maryann mimicked him ''Big brother if you can't come do the normal thing'' Maryann replied in a nonchalant tone.

''I was hoping you could come and we will celebrate here since the graduation accidentally coincides with your birthday'' Mary said calmly.

''I'm so sorry, I can't come and I promise to make it up to you two''

''Do the normal thing big brother'' Maryann yelled and he rolled his eyes, luckily they couldn't see him.

''What's the normal thing'' he asked, hoping against hope that it isn't money.

''Twenty thousand dollars will do the trick''

''what!, that is someone's one year salary''

''I'm not forcing you but i must warn you if you don't, i will frustrate your life as soon as i step foot on the soil of my fatherland'' Maryann replied and ended the call.

There's no way he would give them that amount of money.

He would rather give such amount to Damilola as a graduation gift than give it to Maryann
