What defines a successful man should define a successful woman. And success is not just about money. A man who has reached the peak of his career may not necessarily be stinkingly rich but he is successful. Escobar's statement makes it seem like women have no real ambition in life. How can one say that a successful woman is one who can/has found a rich man? Since accomplishing a task makes one successful, would it be right to say that the only aim a woman has to accomplish in life is to find a rich man? Would one be right to say that a woman can only hope to be successful in life if only she would search for a rich man? In a world where women are now waking up and demanding same chances to make an effort for the top, isn't it rather insulting that a man would think a woman could only be regarded as successful on the strength of her husband's wealth?
