Please I've been noticing and asking myself some things about Phone's camera especially fro nt camera,




I always noticed that whenever I took any picture, the camera will display the letters and numbers of the particular image upside-down or backward without turning the particular image upside down,




I don't know whether anyone grab what I'm trying to insinuate,



Okay for example, you can check the following image


Picture 1: the actual word on that particular top is HBA, but the camera display it backward, now my question is this,



Why is it that the camera didn't display my face or my chest or even my shirt upside-down, that it only changes the letters upside down,



Picture 2: As you can all see, the words and numbers written on that Automatic Voltage Stabilizer are all upside-down , without the stabilizer itself been upside down,




Please I don't really understand this, can anyone enlight me in a simple way so that I can understand better??

Wear one of those clothes and stand before a mirror. Are the letters reversed like that on the phone?

Not the same.
Most phones have their selfie cameras on default mirror mode. Na like that dem come from factory.

Images formed by plane mirrors are virtual, upright, left-right reversed, (not upside down as you claimed) the same distance from the mirror as the object's distance, and the same size as the object.

Even if dude took physics in school, he must had been missing classes. Mirror, under Optics, in Physics explained this very clearly. It is called Lateral Inversion and this happens to all virtual images. All plane mirrors form virtual images. Depending on the position of the object, lenses also form virtual images.

Tell him to stand in front of the mirror and raise either his left or right hand, the right will appear as left and vice versa. Even texts appear backwardly written. If you view ur rear with the mirror while driving, inscriptions on the trailing vehicles appear to be written backward. This is why "AMBULANCE" is written in reverse in the front of an ambulance. Lateral Inversion will make it appear as AMBULANCE to the driver.

What class are you? ss1, ss2 or ss3? If you are in ss1, don't worry, you will still come across it, don't be in a hurry but between ss2 & ss3, you should have started something like that.
However, if you have left secondary school, then I ask; did you pass Physics?
