A gunman shot several people inside a hospital in the Bronx borough of New York on Friday, police said, amid reports three doctors were hurt in the incident.

“We are actively looking for the shooter,” a New York police spokesman said, adding: “It is a very active scene, we have not determined who the shooter is at this time.”

“Multiple people were shot” in the incident at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, located north of Manhattan, the spokesman said.



According to the New York Times, three doctors were injured.
