4 Most Powerful Forces Set To Pull Nnamdi Kanu Down by ajoguegbe(m): 4:39am On Jul 01, 2017
By Jude Oguta

Well as a revolutionary leader fighting against established norms and traditions, acceptance is the first and most difficult hurdle to cross. Many people including myself the writer don’t agree with some of Nnamdi’s ideas and sayings but what I can’t deny is that he is getting the result many people that went before only dreamt about.

Here are the five biggest forces Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB disciples will have to fight (and indeed already fighting) to get to their promised land

1. Political Leaders: This people have the power and resources to bring anyone down and they are so skillful in the game that they have won a following over the years. They fear loosing their influence as a result of a revolution. Therefore maintaining the status quo is their pre-occupation, and will fight tooth and nail to oppose a change-especially that as radical as IPOB. When one hears people like Wike and Dave Umahi distancing themselves from Biafra, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Politicians live in the realm of protecting self-interest and so expect more politicians to come out to denounce Biafra in the days ahead-they are already benefiting from the present arrangement. This is why in some revolutions, the first to be killed are the ruling class because the masses suddenly realizes(sometimes wrongly) that the ruling class has been the cause of decay in the system. Read about the French Revolution

2. The Western Media: According to Malcom X, “The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.” In Nigeria the West of Yoruba extraction control the media, and unfortunately so for the Biafran agitators. This is because they practice selective reporting- reporting only those stuffs that represents the view of its owner or its sponsor. We are not talking about just the traditional media but also the New Media. If you go to the political section of Nairaland forum for instance, the first statement you will see there is that Nairaland is against secessionist. So its not surprising when they only bring to front page news and topics that support their view and can delete a topic in opposition. Same with Sahara Reporters another Yoruba owned media platform. If you ever watched the Youtube aired Keeping it Real with Adeola discuss Biafra, you will see bias in reporting. How would you explain a case where she used the interview granted a disgruntled girlfriend of Nnamdi Kanu to present the personality of the IPOB leader. You don’t expect your enemy to say anything good about you.

3. The Elites: Like the political leaders, one thing the elite fear most is the sudden awakening of consciousness of an ordinary man. This is because the ordinary man has nothing to loose in a struggle so they fight dirty. One thing you will always see in the news these days is how one group or the other is against IPOB and are not willing to be part of it. Some of those statements are sponsored by politicians and given relevance by the Western Media. Akwa Ibom apex group Nkparawa, Anambra Peoples Assembly (APA) etc opposes Biafra. More hitherto unrecognized group will rise up in days ahead and they will enjoy media attention

4. The Northern Power Brokers: If there is a people Igbos want to separate from fast, it is those of Hausa origin. They have never agreed on anything since the amalgamation ideology was birthed. Apart from the fact that they massacre the Igbos in every slightest provocation, the South Easterners also see them as parasites pulling their aspirations and innovative abilities down with their barbaric beliefs. The North is also interested in the oil produced in the Niger Delta which they will obviously loose if Eastern Nigeria secedes. The South South has always wanted to be on their own but lack the power to fight the Northern political class.

Final Notes
Nnamdi appears to be a very intelligent guy. Even some stupid things he does seem to be strategically planned as they end up yielding the desired result. From his statements in radio Biafra, to calling Nigeria a zoo and asking for guns to fight them-all geared towards getting the attention and anger of the government. Then he came to Nigeria and was arrested as expected. Many critics believe Buhari played into his game because that single arrest gave him popularity and increased support for him.

Even his statements and actions these days is helping him remain relevant in the media. He knows the main stream media will never report his good moves so he keeps appearing controversial. How far will this take him-well let's watch and see

An Hausa Trader that I do business with told me that had Nnamdi Kanu's message been centered on Nigeria Nationalism; that's, for all Nigerians rather than specifically for Biafrans, that it would have sparked a revolution by now where the young people from all tribes will attack all politicians and former leaders, chase them out to exile. That many Northerners like him for his integrity and honesty but only limited to the audience his message is directed to.

Actually, no need bringing a criminal down cos he's already down. grin grin grin
His problem started the day Evans, his main sponsor, was arrested.
I understand he visited Evans to discuss the way forward. The scam is getting bursted. grin grin grin

What most Igbos fail to see if that it's Politicians that rules this country, take a look at the current richest black man on the planet his is a Nigerian (Dangote), if Dangote snizzes there will be no effect on Nigeria, but compare him to Tinubu, he is by far richer than Tinubu, but if the likes of Tinubu snizzes, Nigeria will catch cold.

What am I saying, it's not the Business owners that rule this country, it's the politicians that rule take a look at your counselor aspirants, most of them are touts, but they win because they have the backing of politicians NOT Businessmen.

Love them (I personally hate them) or hate them, you need the politicians to make this secession happen PEACEFULLY.

The Ibos complain of marginalization, I want to ask how many influential politicians has come from the SE compared to the SW and the NORTH.

The sooner the Ibos start playing matured politics, the sooner you will rule Nigeria.

You know, the most interesting thing about Ibos is this, it is evident that Ibo hates yorubas for what they are... That's for real.
But do you know what.? Ibo can't do anything to yorubas in their life they can only whine and cry on social networks.

Because life of an average Ibo man is somehow tied to the life of a yoruba man cheesy

I swear my brother, I wish the guy can reframe his agitation before the selfish politician hijack his mission and turn the campaign in their favor.
People like Ikeramadu, Ngige and others Igbos elites won't support the course knowing fully once Biafra is achieved that is the end of the political career.
Kanu need a very good adviser at this very moment so he won't play his card in wrong direction.

All are irrelevant.

They maybe effective to Afonja and Aboki but the Biafra nation wont listen to dem.

Demonstrated by the sit at home order. Igbo nation will only listen to IPOB.

when I hear names like Anambra Peoples Assembly, it reminds me of Re-PoB , IPAD, TRIPOB etc. they all sprang up to counter IPOB but unfortunately for them, IPOB has advanced their course beyond media propaganda.
Nnamdi Nwachineke KANU is such a genius that he personally did media evangelization before stepping into the field proper so when lai Muhammed and seun are busy with their one zoogeria slogan, IPOB is busy executing their plans.
Biafra took zoogeria by surprise because before daura could realise the enormity of IPOB radio, it has penetrated deep down the target audience with sophisticated technology which seems too advanced for airwaves regulators to control.
The civility been applied in this struggle is one that even zoogeria constitution cannot tackle and rigidity of the zoo constitution cannot allow quick amendment to emergency like this.
The Sun is poised to rise!!!!
God bless the struggle

after the Hausa vs Yoruba clash at ife, only yorubas were arrested including an oba, they're still unjustly detained till today plus many other problems affecting the yorubas but you hardly see them agitate or discuss their problems rather they would be moving from one igbo thread to another spewing hatred over what is not their concern. a famous sage said that "an unexamined life is not worth living"

Why the "No Election In Anambra" By Nnamdi Kanu will Work.

-Most of the people against the no vote stance and rant online about the stance are mostly not from Anambra
-IPOB have grassroot supporters of 90% of the entire vote in Anambra State
-IPOB has been busy with the grassroots, galvanizing them, gaining their trust and loyalty.
-IPOB grassroot supporters many may not even have phones and access to internet to read all the rantings online against the "No Election"
As the no vote campaign starts, this is what i think
Am actually indifferent about the no vote stance of Ipob and all those who come online to rants as to people voting or not. The reality is, most of the people against the no vote stance and rant online about the stance are mostly not from Anambra and when they are from Anambra, most are not based in Anambra, and when there are based in Anambra, many may not have their voter card and when they have it, some will not vote and when they vote, they are in the minority.
IPOB's fan base are the Okada riders, keke men/women, the traders, tailors, carpenters, mechanics, market women, fruit sellers, transporters, a sizable percent of civil servants and students etc. IPOB have been very smart in winning the heart of these people. While most people who think smart of themselves spend time ranting and abusing IPOB online, IPOB has been busy with the grassroots, galvanizing them, gaining their trust and loyalty. This has been the tactics of some of the most grass-rooted politicians like fayose and aregbeshola. Their method may be different but the focal point has always been the grassroot because that is where you have the most support. Unlike the wannabe sophisticated people who always want to form educated, polished and come online to show themselves(this i mean for all tribes including the igbos). These grassroot supporters dont have that time. Many may not even have phones and access to internet to read all the rantings.
Once IPOB are able to captured the grassroots, they can and will always determine the direction of ideology, vote(if in politics) and power struggle
so based on this, if you like scream and abuse Nnamdi kanu and IPOB, it wont change anything. They are more focus than we can assume and it will be to ones peril to underestimate them. the only thing now is to dialogue with him and make him see reasons or better still, import paid voters from other states like they do in the past. Thanks

Thanks
