it like they drilled you in a certain occasion.
nairalanders typing negative comments could be those that the N.A officers have flogged and dealt with. for flaunting the law.
MrMcJay sir do you agree?
And you think flogging civilians is how professional armies behave worldwide. And you wonder why most Nigerians hate their guts.

Guy, what they are doing is called "voluntary social responsibility" they won't go as far as printing banner to cover up, I grew up in the barracks too, this is not the first time they organize such outing.
OK

God bless the Nigerian Armed Forces.

These officers and men lay down their lives so that some unintelligent Nairalanders can have the freedom to be alive and type rubbish online.
LOL.. Who send them? Bro forget that talk, when was the last time they went to war? We all know most of them go into Army cos there is no job in the country, some for revenge on their so called bloody civilian.

Who cares, nobody force them to join the army.

They're on punishment. If you've ever lived in the army barracks you'll know what I'm talking about. When soldiers commits an offense, they're locked up in a guard room for some weeks or months depending on the gravity of the offense. Sometimes they'll bring them out of the guardroom and given some chores by senior officers as punishment. The chores varies, it could be sweeping, washing officers cars, mowing lawns, cutting grass after which they'll return to the guardroom. I saw these things while living in the army barracks. Forget about the banner you see there, there's no way officers will come out for sanitation when there're able bodied offenders in the guardroom. NO WAY
Ur stayed in the barrack was a waste of time cos u learned nothing about the military that's why u cannot differentiate between NADCEL and punishment.

Please, do not misinform the public.

Nigerian soldiers carry out public sanitation exercises every year to celebrate Army Day.

If you really lived in the barracks, you should know better.

To me the message you trying to send across is that you lived in the barracks and you know so much about soldiers and how they operate. and that doesnt make you anything more special than you already are.
because i dont see the relevance of all this jargons you put up there. whether its the prisoners or not, the key thing there is the banner and who they represent, who is responsible for bringing them out of the guard rooms to clean the streets? definitely someone in authority. not you or me. are they redcross? no! are they lastma? no! are they students? no! are they market women? no! are they soldiers? yes! have you ever cleaned your street or ordered your junior ones to do so? no!
if soldiers can go to war and lay down their lives, then it doesnt matter who of them is made to do this or do that, afterall they never do anything out of their own accord. its an initiative. appreciate it and dont be negative

This is CIMIC activity as part of NADCEL celebrations. The offenders u are talking about would normally be given punishment inside the barracks and not outside the barracks. Don't say what u don't know. U know the truth but u just want to be mischievous.

This is part civil military cooperation. The cleaning exercise is part of activities to mark the up coming Nigerian army day celebrations.

The worse part of this is that after all this cleaning, people will now become more elated to drop more waste there again

What we really need is social change and sensitisation of the masses on this things instead of extolling this type of actions

GOOD work may God bless all good soldiers all over the world .
Everything about Nigeria is just asss backwards. What is worse it the citizenry do not understand how things are done so they applaud every rubbish they see. How is this good for God's sake? Is it the job of Soldiers to conduct public sanitation? why is Nigeria like this ehn?
