Yes this is evident in the dates in the PATCH LEVEL
But I don't have any new Updates in the phone to install

My question is.
How do I update this device? To an obvious new version on people's phone

Backup your device and take your device to Carlcare for the update.

There is an update now. But you'll have to go to Carlcare for it. Remember to back up your data before u take it there.

Follow this link to familiarize with the miracle box and how to write a Rom it's pretty easy.

It would have been awesome of the Tecno L9 Plus smartphone supported 4G. It is a little disappointing that it is a 3G phone
