Thats the problem!!!! She already renewed before we even considered the move to Canada. So renewing might be a hassle. Even the new passport took "forever".
I tire!!!! undecided
ugoiyke79e:

I think your best bet is to renew her passport (it should be due for renewal by now anyway) with the correct name...make SURE the 'm' is added in her new passport.
After this, u can then get into d swimming "ocean" and land on d shores of canada.
Cheers.

Greetings my people!

I have followed this thread for quite a bit, got done with ECA and scheduled to take the IELTS test this week, please pray for me
I foresee an issue post-ITA though;

I got employed at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and my employment letter states Maintenance Engineer as my role but this is in error as there's no such role in NCAA. My letters of appointment and promotion state Aviation Safety Inspector which is what its supposed to be. I reckon such discrepancy might cut across as being shady since I'll have to upload all possible evidence of skilled work experience.

Are there any suggestions as to how I can find a way around this, please? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Hello house. I have a LLB law and B.L law.

My university degree which is LLB law gives me an Eca equivalent of first professional degree and I don't need to evaluate the B.L. Filling my EE profile should I indicate my LLB law as my most recent study. I did not mention my B.L(law skool certificate) at all as am not claiming points for it

I think you should do more research. If you evaluate both with IQAS, you get higher points for two or more certificates. Like I said, do more research.

I'll not be able to go to FUTO now. Thanks in anticipation!!

Winchman please answer this.
I've been on my transcript journey since April, and they are yet to send it to IQAS.

Everyday stories.

Sadly I can't go to school because of work.

pls people i need advise.

So my husband has a step sibling in Canada, we didnt get points for it though when we got our ITA.
After claiming relative in Canada and step sibling agreed to send us docs to prove relationship.

Time to upload doc, step sibling changed his mind about sending us docs. That they are sensitive and he can't just send them to us anymore :O

Please what do we do? How do we address this issue? We have a few days left to submission.
I am the PA

Thanks for your urgent response

Tell ur step in-law that he would not make heaven!! Na wa! grin grin except sey na illegal status I wonder y him dey fear to send proof of bills document or PR.

That's how some of dis abroad people used to be un-cooperative until we travel and meet them and find out we are even better off....lol

On a serious note, I believe it's a Nigerian thing/habit. Same thing happened to me when I applied for UK visiting visa. I had to write NO family member, because they refused to send documents. (passport biodata page). Now if I wanna renew my UK visa, I have to keep claiming I have no relatives.....smh (everyone is different sha..)

Just remove him from ur form so that the place holder would be removed. There is no worry at all because there is no points to be claimed.

All the best.

just a quick one!
Pls can I send my documents by postmail to MCC together with my husband's own in ONE BIG ENVELOPE These documents will be separated(mine separate, my husband's separate) into two smaller envelopes and both envelopes will be housed in the ONE BIG ENVELOPE.

I want to know if this is acceptable, as am trying to save cost. Thanks.

Yes very possible. That exactly what me and my friend did. We wrote our names on each envelope and put in one big envelope and sent to MCC.

Thanks. I guess we assumed the copy of PR card is needed. Its all good. Our faith is in God.. Some people who reviewed and uploaded all thier documents still got rejected. In all, I would say, do your part and let God have his way.

This whole CIC process can give one sleepless nights if you allow it, the best is to trust God and do ur best. I would come back here to share my PPR testimony cheesy

BTW they are still Testing? That's the core and future of tx for sickle cell. I thought they would already be far gone in that.

I think you are the one mistaking what you read. The rule says that your score should reduce based on the increase in age, the system (MEC) flags it as ineligible. it is now the duty of the officer to consider the public policy act to consider it eligible.

Bros, @blingyrie is correct!!

If you have ita and bday comes up before aOR!! Nna, your scores are recalculated oh, and if it falls below the mark with which you got ITA, it will be rejected.

But if after aor, ur account is locked so if birthday falls after that time, it DOESNT MATTER!

If you doubt, I can upload a rejection letter of a nairalander from last year for this exact reason. It's on my PC!!

What you need is just one document only which ia a reference letter in CIC format for the correct job title.
Even if you wanna add supporting documents, don't put a document with conflicting information

Guys, lets take time and read the entire text from CIC and understand. Yes, points will be calculated at ITA and recalculated at e-APR and should the points at e-APR be lower than the lowest score in your draw, you will be refused. But CIC clearly states that change of age is exempt from this, although it seems it is at the discretion of the VO.

Section A11.2 states how applications are accessed. It basically says all of the info you entered should be maintained till e-apr or else your application will be rejected.

Just a little below, there is an exemption to section A11.2 which refers to candidates who have had a birthday after ITA. It clearly states that the officer should or can exempt such candidated from section A11.2 and according to section A25.2.

My thinking is that every thing you need to do to maintain your status post ITA and pre e-APR is in your hands, but age isn't. ECA expires, get another, ielts expires, write another. But then, How do you improve on your age when it changes.

Please lawyers in the house, help us disect this issue according to CIC so we can put the matter to rest as it has come up numerous times.

Also, esosa4real, it would be great if you posted that letter here as it would enlighten us further.

It's important so we don't mislead people either way.

No issue here. You don't need to submit an employment letter. Stay aligned.

It is your job description that matches you not your job title. just make sure your JD is 70% or above 70% of the JD of the NOC you are claiming

Not necessarily, only info that impacts your score including age(which has a special exemption) must be maintained. All others can be changed with a LOE. Honest mistakes are bound to occur.

We used Translation Agency of Ontario (www.taontario.ca). They charged around $50 the document we translated. They are certified and give the affidavit CIC requires. Just know that for any document you translate you MUST upload as one pdf:
1. The document in its original language
2. The translation
3. The affidavit of translation given to u by the people that translated it for u.

It took about 2 days to be ready. Just sent a mail with the document, and they prepared it and sent back to us.

The issue here is the age. And Yes we are referring to info that impacts scores only. There has been a bit of confusion here on having a birthday after you receive an ita and the impact it would have if your new crs is lower than that of your draw as some people are of the opinion that it disqualifies an application which i think isn't correct.

I believe the Case Officer got it wrong. Loss of point due to age should not result in rejection. For any rejections due to this age difference, the applicant can appeal to get his/her application re-opened.

Check these links for more details.

I repeat again. This is risky and you cannot see the document he has uploaded. For someone who cannot scan and send his document to you, what is the probability of him uploading the same document and what is the difference between sending his document via email and him logging in with your details, reviewing your application and then uploading his document.

That's a huge risk you are taking. If he is not going to give you the document, let him be. If he cannot trust you with his document, why would you trust him with your own application. Just my thoughts

Update people,

After 10weeks i have received feedback on my EOR for my March 25th 2017 IELTS:Scores were:LRWS:877.5,6.5 There was no way I was going to accept a 6.5 in speaking this was my second IELTS I had a 7.5 in my first speaking I wasn't even as prepared as I was for this.I was very confident that I had done well in my speaking and in being pessimistic should at least have a 7.

Imagine my shock and surprise when I received my TRF with a 6.5 in speaking I knew I had to contest that particular score now in other not to bore you further my EOR came back and my speaking was bumped from 6.5 to 8.That's more than an entire band I keep wondering what was running through the mind of the Nigerian man who examined me that day which made him conclude I deserved a 6.5,I wrote the April 8th as well and had an 8 in speaking.

You see these BC Nigeria people let's just say I leave them for God.

If you ever have any doubts regarding your results please do not hesitate to remark it might take time but it's better than never knowing still waiting on EOR for April 8th remarking Writing 6.5 as well and as I mentioned before it wasn't my best writing but let's see how it goes.

#Okbyelemmegoanupdatemyprofile

This is motivating. I am equally awaiting the outcome of my EOR for speaking. But I will like to know how you got to know the result was ready. Do you have a contact in BC one can communicate with? Thanks

No it won't. As long as your job with the 3 companies is in the same NOC, you are good to go. Just be honest in your application and make sure you can back up/prove everything in your application if additional info is requested.
