Please can you all stop castigating the government. It is the monsoon season and raining in most places. Try tuning to international news and see the flooding in various countries. |

menwongo:All those ppl died because of a self glorifying liar man called Jesus. Mattawe died in a country I belong and I believe he got what he deserved. But our country became the 2nd nation in the world to accept Christianity even if there were some Ethiopians who were Christian as early as 1st century AD. Now most Ethiopians follow their own Ethiopian Orthodox and this needs to stop. |

Ignorant people are the ones who make the most noise. Anyone who thinks the Lagos state government will allow a major Lagos road degenerate to this extent is blowing the brass trumpets of their ignorance at maximum pitch. What we see in those pictures is as a result of years of neglect, poor planning and corruption on the part of the federal government. How this can happen in a sane country boggles the mind. The ports brings in billions in revenue on a daily basis for the FG but the environs are an abomination, which is essentially the quintessence of the Nigerian situation. The Nigerian factor is also excercabating an already terrible situation. We find hundreds of trucks and trailers parked left right and centre in places where they have business being parked. Some even park in the good portions of road leaving commuters and pedestrians to struggle for passage in the bad portions. Whenever I pass there I'm always chanting "God help me, don't let me fall in front of a trailer." Fashola recently announced that the road will be closed for 1 year but almost 3 weeks on there's no sign that any work will be starting soon. I don't even know how that will be possible because of the mass of vehicles parked there. |
