The Citizenship path looks green and juicy but not without a few surmountable constraints here and there.

Becoming a permanent citizen (F5 visa) starts with securing the F2 status first.
The long-term residency status (F2 Visa) is based on a point-system structure and the more points you secure, the greener your chances would be. I have attached a file to further show how this is done and how best you could achieve this.

Eligibility

To get the F-2 visa, you must:

1. Have an eligible visa status i.e an E-series or D-Series: (D-2, D-5, D-6, D-7, D-8, D-9, D-10 (D-2 and D-10 holders must be in master’s or doctorate degree program and have job prospects lined up))

Students basically coming here with intentions to work fulltime because naija no good.
They have adopted new laws, but there is God.

Graduate degree students will need bank statement showing $20,000 while undergraduate students and Korean language students will show less than that to get admission and even to extend visa here in Korea.

Existing students in Korea will bring evidence of how the money($20,000) was wired by sponsor to their Korean account along with bank statement from Korean bank before they can extend their visa in Korea.

Those on assylum visas are now being taxed almost $1000 every 3 months to get visa extension which will be cancelled any moment.

From September, any intl student caught working without permit will be deported immediately as they said.
Make una get ready especially in terms of bank statement before coming to avoid entering illegal.

Lol, this is preposterous! Do they even think it through before coming out with such policy? Many sponsors will not agree to transfer such a huge amount of money abroad for obvious reasons. If they want to start a block-money policy like the Germans do, then they should demand that the money is transferred to a Korea bank before the student is issued a visa not when the student is already in Korea. What of students that no longer rely on their sponsors after securing legitimate part time jobs that take care of their needs, will they be required to produce a Korean bank statement that has $20000? And will a student who is already in Korea studying be deported as a result of his sponsor's inability or refusal to transfer the said amount? Please, if you don't mind can you share a link concerning this policy, let me read up as it is confusing. Thanks.

Basically students used to borrow money and dump in their account for visa extension and it used to be $10,000 for each extension.
That means if you have $3000, you can borrow the remaining 7000 from friends, deposit in your account and go for visa extension with no worries.

But now, they increased it to $20,000 and also want to verify how you get the 20000, they want to know if you worked and how you were able to raise such amount too.
And they want to see a proof of international wire transfer to your account from your sponsor to be sure that you didn't work to make such money and that you actually came to study and not work

The point is that they want students to stop working and depend on their sponsor abroad.
I hope they tamper justice with mercy.

if you want to confirm your documents by the korean embassy. you will 1st. go to your school and collect attestation letter from dean and it must be stamp and signed by dean. 2nd. go to the federal ministry of education for authentication of your documents. 3rd. go to federal ministry of foreign affairs for authentication of your documents. 4th. go to court for affidavit that you are the rightful owner of your documents. 5th. coloured copy of your international passport data page. 6th. go to VFS in abuja and submit. The price is 4500 per document. It will take 5 working days for your documents to be ready. goodluck
