In such circumstances there is nothing you can do, probably there Intel paid off and gas we can see they laid an ambush.

NIGERIAN ARMY ASSURES UNIMAID OF SECURITY SUPPORT

The Nigerian Army has assured Univeristy of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) of security support. The Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ibrahim Manu Yusufu gave this affirmation when he paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, UNIMAID, Professor Ibrahim Yusuf Abubarka Njodi at his office in Maiduguri Borno State. The GOC who was accompany on the visit by commanders and some principal staff officers from Headquarters 7 Division assured the VC of adequate security for the University community. He sympathized with the University on the recent suicide bomber attacks on the University. He commended the staff and the VC for holding forth during the trial period.

The GOC also commended the VC for not closing the University as doing that will have scored a cheap point to the perpetrators of the act while calling the university community to provide security agencies with relevant information that will aid them in the stemming the tide of suicide bomb attacks.

The Vice Chancellor in his response assured the GOC of the University’s support in the ongoing war against insurgency. He attributed the recent relative peace enjoyed within the University after of high spate of suicide bombings to Nigerian Army doggedness and professional display in securing the University, Maiduguri metropolis in particular and Borno State in general.

TROOPS OF 8 TASK FORCE DIVISION PUSH BOKO HARAM FURTHER INTO LAKE CHAD

In continuation of ongoing efforts to rout Boko Haram terrorists in its area of responsibility, troops of 7 Brigade Special Forces, 8 Task Force Division have dislodged terrorists who have been gathering in Dawashi Gari village, in an area bordering the Lake Chad.

In an engagement this morning, gallant soldiers of the division killed 4 terrorists, while others fled, abandoning their motorcycles, which were recovered and destroyed, to prevent their being used to perpetrate terror on innocent villagers.

Similarly, as part of the theater wide and ongoing clearance operations, troops of 145 Bn, 5 Brigade, 8 Task Force Division have cleared Gashigar, Asaga, Bukarti and neighbouring villages. In the process, troops made contact with terrorists in Kanama village and killed 2 terrorists, arrested 2 more, while 1 AK 47 riffle, 4 magazines and 4 motorcycles were recovered.

The NAF has just released the list of successful candidates who would undergo training to become airmen/airwomen in the NAF.
