I can't recall how many times I grumbled about somethings while growing up and people including my mum told me to go and die. Yet, I did not go and die. I guess he was strong physically, but very weak emotionally back in the day.

You friend is just like me.... I rather be flogged over and over again than to be verbally abused,, I can't remember the times I've been flogged or the pains I felt from the Cain but there are some words that have been spoken to me that I can never forget and sometimes when I remember them, I feel them same pain I felt just like when I was told. Words are very powerful but most Nigerian parents don't understand this.... Verbal abuse or even abuse of any kind is what I'll never condone in my home, there are various ways to correct a child.
