I beg to disagree with this governor when he said you hardly develop with homogeneity. Most of the developed countries are homogenous or close to one.
Japan, South korea, Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, France, Malta, Qatar, Isreal, finland, ireland, iceland are like this. Even the United Kingdom is grouped by ethnic lines; England(English people), Wales( Welsh people) and so on.
Even some of the developed or deceloping countries in Africa are like this. When you talk of Morroco, Algeria, botswana( I so much love this country). I thought as practicing Muslim and Arab wannabe, he should know that the middle east are mostly arabs.
Nigeria must separate wheter he likes it or Not.

We Yorubas are very large( 40 million in size) to form a greate country binded by similar culture, language, and history; not by the British like the way Nigeria is.
