Has anyone passed through this experience before and still gave birth successfully?

then he isn't struggling to poo. He would do that with ease when he wants to. My ds spent about 8days without pooing when he was dat age and even now at 7weeks, he can spend about 3days before he poos very little sef.

See the above quote. Babies do that, he's just learning, when the poo comes out it's still gonna be watery so he's not constipated. You can only say he's constipated if his poo looks it.

I am sorry for submitting this late. It's due to stress and lack of rest.

Like I said earlier in my introduction when I was registering into the team as a member , this is my third baby but it appears like a first child due to the gap between the pregnancy and my last child( she will be 8 by September)

I found out I was pregnant last October , exactly two days after my birthday (30th). I was very happy and started with my prenatal the next day shaperly.

The first trimester was full of less drama. I didn't have to vomit or get sick like that just normal preg tiredness. Then second trimester came, I started spotting and I was told it's threatened abortion and that the uterus is getting pressed. One thing is that my tommy was bigger than it should be @ 14weeks. I look like I am carrying twins .i was forced by dh to register at a general hospital to avoid any complications due to the gap.

At 36weeks, my doctor said my tummy is bigger than what the scan estimated and she doesn't trust thescan center . I was referred to another scan center and birth weight came as 3.67kg but baby was breeched. Then I started praying for it to turn before 37weeks because I was expecting to pop out anytime from then . My bump was very getting bigger and I was very ready.
By the time I will take e result to the clinic the next appointment , my doctor said it will be CS, I said no problem but just give me the opportunity to do another scan now to confirm . She said okay and was discussing with her colleague that they will try me with VD that since I have delivered a 3. 8 baby before but I said NO, I don't want to try . The lady doctor and colleague confirmed baby head is down but I should go for the scan to confirm and to the glory of God, baby has turned and weight was 3.7kg.

At 39weeks 2days, the consultant I met during ANC said he couldn't feel the heartbeat well and I should go and confirm with a scan . We found out that baby turned his Back instead of the usual side by most babies at term . Weight was still 3.7kg.

All this while, I have been having contraction but it won't just last . It will come and go . I did exercise . I walked , jogged and even squatted . I made google my friend . I ate pineapple , drank zobo, drank ewedu all to just induce labour naturally . My last resort was to tak castor oil .

On 4th July, I went for an all night in the church . I prayed and prayed . I was getting scared but I started praying against it. I dread induction.
I met the Matron that took delivery f my second baby and she checked me to know if I have started dilating at least . She could check well, then she asked me to come to her maternity home in the morning , that was 5th, my edd. I was there and she checked andcervix was 0cm.
We concluded we will go to GH tomorrow and a CS will be carried out She told me the baby is big and I should not be deceived by scan report.
All through the night, I couldn't sleep. I was just praying and declaring his words. By morning , I started having the contraction but when I lie down, it will go. By 2pm , I drove to meet the matron ( I think the driving assisted because of the bumps on the road ) and she then to continued from her place to the hospital. On our way, I begged her to help tell the people in the labour ward that I don't want Induction ooooo.

On getting to the hospital and being checked , I was 3/4,cm dilated by 5.30pm, the doctor on duty said he will see me in 4hrs time, I rejected it and said No, my cervix will dilate faster than he will imagine . I ordered for 1 wrap of ofada rice and ate. I was advised to eat small .By 8pm, when the doctor passed and asked the nurse how I am doing , she said I am doing well. Then he checked and found out I wAs 6cm dilated, he ruptured the membrane and the contraction then brecame intense . He set the IV point on my left arm and I became so afraid but when the matron asked if yo get the oxytocin, he said NO,she will deliver soon.

By 9.30 ,I was taken to the second stage cos I was already 8cm. Then 9cm , the hot drip was then inserted , I told all of the, that they deceived me but the Dr said that is not induction but to assist me quicken that last phase .

By 10pm, I was fully dilated but BOBO refused to engage . He just hung somewhere and I was having urge to push but he wasn't coming down. I was asked to lie by my side and push when I have the urge but not to waste the energy.

I prayed , I sang , i declared his words that only 3 pushes more, my baby will be out . Then suddenly , the doctors (2) and 2 nurses on duty + my Matron all started shouting that I should hold my ankles and push. I should not not allow it to begin incline back bla bla bla. I was asking , what is ankle ,they should come and help me fold my leg but mba, they refused and only showed me. Their point is that I am the one to push out my baby. I pushed 2 more times and by 10.35pm, my baby head came out and was given a little tear by the anus . The placenta was equally big . He weighed 4.95 but when asked to be weighed again, it was 5.15kg with diaper.

Immediately he came out, query and investigation started , all the doctors on duty came to check my baby and also the Neonatal unit. I was asked how manage ? Are u diabetic? .My baby was taken to NICU for observation . Test was conducted and every every was okay. I was discharged in the morning but baby still at the Neonatal . More investigations was on because he is very light in complexion but I thank God we left the clinic the next day and have gone a week after and all is well and will continue to be well with our son, Oluwatamilore Gideon.

To all our team July sister still waddling , I say stay strong and continue to hold onto his promises . Keep declaring his word. Sink yourself with the verses against fear and by God's grace , there shall be no maternal or child death in Jesus name .

Please Madam I beg you to head straight to the hospital . I had a bad experience that lead to an MC ( not ur portion) it is better to be safe than sorry . You shall know no loss.

Happy weekend blessed Mama. I don't really think there's an effective way to stop it. For me, after ttc for a while, I happily and proudly embraced my spit bottle. I put the bottle in a very lovely pouch so nobody can see the contents and I stylishly spit in it everywhere I go. Some people don't even notice. I make sure to wash the bottle every 2hours at most and replace with a new bottle every day cos it can begin to irritate you.

I need answers because, I was messaging my boobies with hot water (mum asked me to do this regularly before baby comes), after which I noticed some white tiny spots on the nips which I felt was breastmilk.

Since I'm gifted with large sized boobies, I kinda pulled my nips into my mouth and sucked on it. (Hubby was not around, and might not even get what I was curious about). I felt some salty taste which I couldn't really place. I did it at another time and felt same taste again.


So I wanted to know, please, does breastmilk have a salty taste? Am I already lactating? I'm just a little above 5 months gone.

Thanks mama for this advise as i was going to say d same thing. I remember i was at Ikorodu General Hospital sometime ago b4 i even got pregnant and they were having antenantal. The midwife there was advising on cleaning d breast with coconut water and olive oil so d milk can flow well after birth but she expressly stated that this should be done from 8months upward as it can cause miscarriage if done early. If contraction starts from 8 months and above atleast baby is ready to be born. So plsssss it is not advisable to do that at 5months as it can cause miscarriage.
I just started mine sef as i am 38 weeks today. So the mama that is doing it should plss stop.

you don't need to massage your breast now wait till baby comes, you can start cleaning d nipple with cotton wool and olive oil so that d nipple will not pain you when you start breastfeeding, I did it religiously and it work for me. getting breastmilk by force can send a wrong signal to the brain then to the body system
