Let me guess your reason, you like Rakitic defensive contributions! If you have been following Verratti, you would know that Verratti also contributes a lot to the defensive! That guy can terrorize anybody! His dark eye region complements how bad he can be!

All the times PSG played Chelsea, he made sure he put Hazard in his pockets! He is not afraid to go into tackles, if you like be as big as Yaya Toure, he would tackle you.

Now together with this defensive ability, he still has very superior technical skills that we really need, and we all know that Rakitic is not technically skillful.
