peterphd:Sometimes when you get permission to post some pictures , you might be given condition to blur or mask-out the face. Pertaining to the guys in the pictures some are SF and some aren't. On the brown roller band wore with the black boots is an old culture inherited from the British army . its a culture fading out and mainly used by quarter guards, usually during parade's. |

BOKO HARAM ADOPTING NEW TACTICS IN SUICIDE BOMB ATTACKS Following regular interception of Boko Haram terrorists suicide bombers by troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE and the serial failures that have trailed their suicide bomb attacks, recent developments indicate that the terrorist group is now exploiting deceptive tactics to lure unsuspecting members of the public to target areas before detonating their suicide bomb in order to attain maximum casualty. It has been observed that one of the tactics employed by the terrorists is to create a scene such as fighting with each other or any other person to attract attention and cause people to gather around them before they detonate their suicide bomb. Another antic is by abducting children who are on errands, strapping them with suicide vests and sending them back home, where the suicide bomb detonates to kill members of the household. These deceptive tactics have been found to have played out in recent suicide bomb attacks carried out by the Boko Haram terrorists. Members of the public are therefore urged to be wary of these tactics and avoid such unnecessary gatherings that could expose them to preventable danger. Additionally, all parents and adults are advised to sensitize their children and wards on these new Boko Haram tricks. They are also urged to be conscious of the whereabouts of their children and rein them in where necessary to prevent them from being callously used by the terrorists for the evil mission of suicide bombing. Remember, "IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING" You are please requested to disseminate this information to the general public through your various news media. Thank you for your cooperation. NAF PARTNERS UNIMAID TO PRODUCE ALPHA JET AIRCRAFT ANTI-SKID TEST BENCH, SIGNS MoU ON RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) today, in a brief ceremony at its Headquarters in Abuja, unveiled an Alpha Jet aircraft anti-skid test bench, which it had locally produced, in collaboration with the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). The anti-skid braking system of the Alpha Jet aircraft is a critical system, which helps in slowing down the speed of the aircraft and maintaining its balance even on wet runways. The newly produced test bench helps to simulate the performance of the principal components of the anti-skid system thereby guiding maintenance. The NAF and UNIMAID also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards consolidating on the research and development efforts between the two organizations. Speaking at the event, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, disclosed that with the signing of the MoU, UNIMAID has joined other Nigerian universities, polytechnics and research agencies, with which the NAF has existing MoUs. Air Marshal Abubakar remarked that the story of insurgency in the North East would not be complete without mentioning the contributions of UNIMAID, and indeed the other NAF partnering institutions, whose collaborative efforts with the NAF in the area of Research and Development have proved critical. The Vice Chancellor of UNIMAID, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, used the opportunity to commend the CAS for his passion, vision and zeal to develop a self-reliant Air Force. He also expressed his deep appreciation to the NAF, noting that UNIMAID would have been overrun by insurgents if not for the timely intervention and protection of the NAF. He added that the reason behind the MoU was to ensure that the collaboration between the NAF and the University was sustained. The NAF Chief of Standards and Evaluation, Air Vice Marshal Kingsley Lar, used the occasion to present the recently issued NAF patent certificate for Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) to the CAS. He remarked that the NAF was fortunate to have a man at the helm of affairs with a keen interest in “promoting partnerships geared towards innovations for self-reliance”. Coming barely 2 months after the NAF won the National Technology and Innovation Award at the Technology and Innovation Expo 2017, the unveiling of the test bench is yet another milestone in the series of innovations under the current NAF leadership. It would also be recalled that the patency for the UGV is the second one from NOTAP since the inception of the current NAF administration. DOPRI

bidexiii:Reason why we need those Yahbon UAV After that attack, NAF was able to pinpoint those guys location. Follow them with the UAV undetected and get a location. This is just my own opinion as am sure the military definitely know where these guys are being kept. You just have to avoid civilian casualty. |

jakeporeshenko:thanks mate. It saddens that Nigerians are aloof and unaware of the fact that Nigeria the existential threat to Nigeria is real. Nigeria has been earmarked for destruction since 2015. We've managed to survive..but now Nigeria is taken action behind the scene. Since 2015 Cameroonian forces has unlawfully entered Nigeria n killed her citizens in brazen act....all in a bid to provoke Nigeria. Luckily Nigeria has chosen to endure the humiliation and quietly 're arm. Our military has been decimated to horrendous levels, it will take us an additional two years to fully rearm. Then, and only then will Nigeria defend her territory publicly without fear. |

SSBN:The most interesting part of your write up was the collaboration the government had with North Korea to gain access to missile technology, funny enough I had seen such a story online a while ago but it didn't occur to me why Nigeria would collaborate with such a regime because the article didn't state anything linking france and Cameroon. Anyways now that the government is trying to rearm the navy in the name of "combatting illegalities" hopefully we can land some serious firepower in multi billion dollar deals. Coastal defense missile batteries and long range surface to air missiles etc.. Nigeria will never be in a level to challenge France or any other superpower ( well not anytime soon) but at least we can structure our country to make it a pain in the arss for anyone to invade an occupy, just the way Algeria is, that's the vision I see for Nigeria. |

HIGH PROFILE BOKO HARAM TERRORIST AND OTHERS RENOUNCE TERRORISM On Monday 17th July 2017, four Boko Haram terrorists willingly deserted their hideouts and surrendered themselves of 120 Task Force Battalion at Goniri. Among them was a high-profile terrorist, Konto Fanami, the Ameer of Kafa hideout of the Boko Haram terrorists group that operates along Ajigin-Talala-Mungusum axis. During preliminary interrogation, they confirmed that they abandoned the terrorism because of incessant hardship and realizing that they were misled by their terrorist group leaders. They further stated they were also erroneously misinformed and brainwashed about Islam and the Nigerian military and the society generally. The remorseful surrendered terrorists regretted their involvement in terrorism and marveled at the courtesies and humane treatment accorded them by the military on surrendering. We call on those remnants of Boko Haram terrorists to follow suit and renounce the devilish creed as adequately arrangement has made to receive all those that voluntarily renounce terrorism and surrender themselves and will be treated humanely. Thank you for your kind cooperation. Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman Director Army Public Relations
