Nigeria's business has set your underpants ablaze..hahahahaha. grin grin

it's OK already before it leads insanity.

try not to think on Nigeria, won' t do you any good.
Sorry who are you?? Obviously not a regular to this thread, if you were you would've recognised that I've praised Nigeria for certain weapons purchases like the JF 17 and advocated the need to increase the number of units.

Don't make silly comments when you know nothing about me.

We are not interested in doing that, no not at all if you don't make us to because once you almost did but cool & wise heads prevailed. Our economy and indeed Africa stands to gain more from a stable and prosperous SA exactly why u have no threat. Let's post pics.
Dude Nigeria would never sail in to our waters without permission.......and btw if you forgot it was you who said we must wait and see your Navy

Just FYI this debated started with me simply stating my opinion with regards to Nigerian weapons purchases......I even emphasized that it was an opinion!!!

You ret@rds simply decided to loose your fvcking minds about it.

Going back to the Chief of Naval Staff's comment. We can now strike out a few items from the list he made.

-The now confirmed SSV from Indonesia should cover up the proposed LPD to be purchased.

- 3 Helicopters have been bought .

- 1 Seaward Defence Boat currently valued at 10 million dollars is currently being built at the Naval dockyard in Lagos.

Finally your dreams came true lmao, stuff are becoming more beautiful ! Smiling*

Stop stressing yourself. I told you we already had planned to buy them. I didn't tell you we've paid for them.

This is not a debate. Things happen differently here unlike SA that brags about military procurements.

We just wanted you to know Nigeria can start procurement process from bottom to top instead of top to bottom.

They did dude!! Go to PACs website
lol share a link to a page on their website that confirms the JF-17 order.
While you're at it please also share a link to the website of the Chinese manufacturer of our OPVs since you claim you knew about the order.

I honestly don't know why you're stressing yourself over this.

I'm directing you to ask the navy yourself as we don't care about your opinion here.

If there's a Nigerian Navy officer in the forum I simply wanna ask what kind of interest does the SSV serve in the navy considering the following:
- The NN currently has no defensive and offensive capacity/capabilities.
- The SSV only carries 3 helicopters and can hardly carry armour of any serious support to the 500 troops it carries.

I'm not trying to bash anyone, I'm trying to find logic behind the acquisition. Thanks

Nigerian Navy is modernising her fleet, other countries opted for corvette frigates first before Landing Ships... Nigeria is buying what we need first then we are going for other stuff like frigates corvettes...
This SSV is for transport of marines, light amphibious forces. Very good for our coast line, and all the region. (Gulf of guinea). 2 helo is more than enough its not a helicopter carrier, but more used to transport troops

Let me explain . Jln115 has insecurity issues, when those ships arrive, he knows his arguments here on SA navy being better will be flawed.

Remember , the jf17 delivery news is still a shock to him, you want to give him hypertension with this too ni?

Supplier my friend...Nigeria is not at war with SA and won't be hopefully -- that is if your foreign policy under the ANC and Jacob Zuma which is all over the place behaves though has been behaving since the Bangui debacle -- and as a responsible country obeys the laws of the sea and freedom of navigation in international waters. We have navigated the Cape of Good Hope twice recently. Again if Diplomacy and subtle military threat had not worked The Nigerian Navy would have shown up off Cape Town at the least in a show of Strength.

The SSV will be operating with another asset when on deployment. With its capability to carry three helos, the other asset most likely a well armed OPV will carry a helo. That's 4 helos already.

While the NN Guys are coming in —

Logic: Power Projection. SSV Service: Reach.
Naval Science dictates that an expeditionary fleet sails with an escort of vessels with capabilities for anti-air, anti-surface and anti-submarine capabilities. It's like when you see the US Navy's 7th fleet sailing for invasion. Something like that is what Nigeria is replicating in Africa. A blue water expeditionary fleet.

NN Capacity & Capabilities: Wait until you see the Nigerian Navy off Cape Town grin

That's good news I have heard all day. Our boys would do with target practice. grin

It simply means Nigeria can project force to SA while South Africa will have just 4 frigate to protect 2500km coastline along 2 oceans (atlantic and Indian Ocean).

Guess u love to entertain the guys, look for pics of ur fine 'stealth' frigates or submarines to post because if I start you'd be too ashamed to come here rattling about 4 Frigates and 3 submarines being able to stop a Naval invasion of SA. You think buying equipments is all it takes! We all know your lack of capacity in skill set to even muster credible deterrence. I think it was retired Admiral Adekeye who came to your country and offered your SANDF capacity building which was and is still obviously lacking but Abuja wasn't disposed. Madagascar will be an ally not to worry we don't bully small nations.

So you think we started operating Submarines recently, we have more than half a century headstart provided you just got submarines today which you obviously don't.

So shame me on how you could defeat our fleet, I'll show you how half our fleet could defeat your current and future ordered fleet. Go on, I'm all yours smiley

That's 1 submarine for every 833km, you have 0 for your 850km coastline. No argument here, move on.

Like I said u're welcome. We all know you love to draw blood. Thing is just maybe you do sink a ship or two, it is the reality of war but we will still land on your shores. But there won't be war not gonna happen but Proxy war you bet some of us been itching to pull a curtain on SA' grandstanding and I mean in real combat. Bangui was just a teaser using kid rebels.
