Osinbajo forwards over N135bn virement to lawmakers By Abdulwaheed Usamah Several weeks after 2017 budget was approved by the senate, the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has forwarded over N135 billion as virement for critical and prioritized projects from the bill, to House of Representative for approval. Through a letter forward to the floor by the office of the acting president on Thursday, the presidency provided, with breakdown, ministries and offices considered critical to be funded. This is not appropriate. They should have presented a bill to amend some part of the 2017 appropriation act instead. |
