Dear sir.

I read the post made by you and gholah1 and decided to verify the identity of the the guy.
I told him to call me and he did around 5:30PM this evening.

I went to his hostel at Faj and we talked.
I explained why people want a proof of his studentship before helping him.
I asked him to open his eportal page, he did and I can confirmed that he is a medical student.
He explained the reasons why he resorted to seeking for people's help on Nairaland.

This is my appraisal of his issue

1. He is a medical student (I insisted he must open his eportal and he did)
2. He is not from a buoyant family
3. He has posted about his condition on Nairaland sometimes ago(He stated that he has been battling with this issue of financial inadequacy since part 1)
4. There is almost no chance of getting something from home.
5. Being in a tough department, he has been struggling to concentrate on his studies due to lack of basic things like food and necessary textbooks.
6. His results are encouraging.( I checked his part one results as medical students don't usually have their results uploaded on eportal after part one)
7. He is squatting with some of his friends at Faj.
8. The best and most appropriate solution to his problem is a regular source of monthly stipend probably in form of a scholarship. Financial assistance now can be made to atleast aid his current financial situation.
9. If you have the ability to help him, please do.
10. On the issue of his identity, I told him point blank that he must provide the evidence of studentship to people who want to help him. (ID card, Eportal page and picture)

Almost 150 pages, yet nothing significant, nothing spectacular, no single indigenous industrial base, no single TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCT worthy of mention. The pics quality betray the source. They look like pics from adverts that are engineered to impress. No factory pics and production steps to show that these are Yoruba made. Some other products are unknown and unseen anywhere in Naija, some still look like computer aided designs and prototypes. And long stories of CEO's who run unknown businesses that lack technical input. Some others run public companies owned by nigerians and whose shareholders can sack the board if need be. As far as INDIGENOUS TECHNOLOGY is concerned, the IGBOS WIN hands down. The yorobats can only compete when general businesses are consided but even at that, the igbos still win. Lobbish.
