All children are stubborn. That is the nature of children. If you have children you will know that. We parents know what we face daily at the hands of our children. My second son smashed my 28 inch TV two weeks ago, do i chain him with dogs as punishment? Can the man that chained this poor boy with goats do same with his own children?

I suspect that was how you were treated as a child, maybe that is why you are supporting this savage act.

I forwarded the story to http://www.naptip.gov.ng/index.php/aboutus/our-law-and-our-mandate maybe they can investigate and bring the perpetrator(s) to book. They need to investigate how and why a small boy who should be in school is doing houseboy for the callous man.

Any other person that knows other organizations that can handle this case should forward this link to them.

When a child like this grew up and turn to a heartless robber and killer, soceity will be asking questions. If we can´t protect the kids of today, then we should be ready to face the consequence in a few years time, especially when they grow up to become nuisance to the same soceity that failed to protect them.

Nigeria needs "social awareness" on what to do exactly when they see or witness abuse. This is good, but the guy needs to report this to so many authorities all over the place.

A houseboy who serves his boss at  No 5 offin canal Lagos Island market, was reportedly chained and locked with goats without food for days.  It was gathered that though the boy's offence is not known, however this is not the first maltreatment the boy is getting from the Nigerian man.

That is not even the issue, the author can work straight to a Police Station and make a report or better still go to Lagos State Government and report rather than just making noise where they may not hear or know.

some house help are something else, I brought a boy of 15yrs from the village to be helping my parents, I registered him to nearby private school, his only work is to wash the dishes and run small errant for them, but 2weeks with them the boy started having gangs, he frequently came back home very late, there was a time he ran away from the house for 2days , I leave my job for days looking for him, I even report to the police, this is a boy I took as my own blood brother, I make sure he feel comfortable, he never lack anything, I even bought Android phone for him so I will be talking to him often, to cut the story short 3 days after I found him at motor park with touts, I took him home , I did not even beat him as many will do, I gave him food , I then took him to the station where I first reported, they asked him if my parents have been maltreating him, he said no they asked him , if they beat him often or refuse to give him food on time he said no, that he is the one that put food for himself, they ask him what its his problem , he couldn't even give any reasonable answer, they wanted to flog him and detain him for 2days which I refused, they took his picture , told me to report to them if he misbehave again, after 3days the boy ran away from the house again, this time around it happened in my very eyes, I was in the living room parking my bag so I will go back to my Base, he passed me like a spirit, I stopped him and ask him where he is going, he said my mother sent him to an errant, I then told him 2 go, he hurriedly leave , I became unconvinced immediately, I rushed to my mom room to know if she really sent him anywhere , my mother said she did not, I rushed outside the compound the boy is nowhere to be found , I rushed outside the gate , I saw him at the extreme end of our street, immediately he sight me he ran away as fast as he could, I ran after him, b4 I get there he have disappeared, I started looking for him from street to street, I alert some of our Neighbors to help me, that day I nearly killed pregnant woman were I was looking for him, as God may want it, I wheeled inside gutter, Lucky for me that day I found him in a brothel immediately where he was merrimenting with his friends, immediately he sight me again he ran away , this time around I ran after , I notice I will not get him, I shout hold him hold him, people in front hold him for me, when I get there he denied knowing me, but when I explained to people caught him for me, that he is our house help and how he constantly ran away from the house without any wrong doing, I showed them the pictures he tool with me in our family house, they became convinced and t started beating him, but I stopped them, I took him to the House and chain him up, I immediately alert the father to come and pick him, now tell me had it been I killed that pregnant woman with the car, or my aged parents died of BP because of him, or he brought arm robbers to the house, or he did any thing that will end his life , will u still justify my action you will be the first to say we used him for money ritual, to my conclusion the person that chain this boy might have a very good reason similar to mine, let not be one sided in passing judgment
