Better question is have you spoken to him before or do you know your LGA budget is?
Do you also have town hall meetings with your local representatives to discuss the issues.

And yet I'm sure you'll spend much of your time complaining about the state of the roads, the water and the sanitation in your area, expecting the federal government far away in Abuja to fix for you problems that would be best dealt with by your LGA chairman ...

Your comment is a perfect illustration of why the "federal allocation" mentality needs to go, to be replaced by government based on taxation. If the money your chairman was "chopping" came directly out of your pocket, I'm certain you would care a whole lot more what he did with it, instead of saying "na their time" as it's squandered on who knows what.

I have met Local government chairman before but not mine. He was my cousins friend. I notices nobody knows are cares who they are. Better question what do they do with budget if not taken by state government.

It will take sycophants and those who are interested in politics to know them. One of them was attending residents association meetings on my street until he became a Local governmnet chairman and had to stop- no time, level don change. You don't get to see them again after they win the elections.

Please vote PDP in Kosofe LGA of Lagos for the chairmanship election.
The guy deserves that seat more than all the other guys, especially the godfather-imposed APC candidate

I don't complain anymore tho because it bears no fruit so just looking at them till the day my own turn go reach then i will do my bit to change the status quo
