You don't have to screenshot for the month, screenshot your total earnings just for year 2015 and year 2016 (two screenshots). That will let us know if you are a sham or not. I know what I am saying, and do full screenshots so it shows ur network operator up (just incase you want to get a picture online). If you can't, then please close down this thread and stop deluding innocent creatures.
Well, I happen to know this brother, he's as legit as anyone can be, besides its not by force neither is he sweet talking anyone here. If you wanna be a Thomas by all means please yourself, but please take your cynicism out of this thread.

The same reason why Billionaires like Donald Trump, Richard Branson, etc write books about their business experience and sell them instead of giving it out for free.
BTW, I never called myself a multimillionaire. Earning 6Million in 20months doesn't make you a millionaire.

Hey Man, Freelancing is not overhyped. I make nothing less than $800 per month on the average, and upto $2000 sometimes.

But I as a person will never sell an eBook in an attempt to educate people about how it works... it's just a cheapish type of rip-off.

Who even get time dey sell eBook when orders Bolu for fiverr to attend to. undecided
Bros Pls enlighten me on fiver.

Op, you just wanna sell your ebook. I do not doubt your claim about people earning cash through freelancing but the truth still remains that NIGERIANS who are on freelancing sites like fiverr hardly earn anything.

You actually adviced him to engage in an illegal activity, that's not good at all. When would naija people run away from illegal activities? Why not advice him to apply for a passport, voters card, drivers licence or national identity card? Dont you think he can get at least one of them if he applies for it?
Bigboyz32:
This is not supposed to be on a public forum, but here is what to do: get a good graphic designer to edit someone's ID for you and replace with your picture and name. It works and I have done that a couple of times for people.

This is a much better advice than the advice the OP gave above.
bobowaja:
Do you have a voters card? If yes, then choose national ID card and fill in your voters card details. Make sure you don't use any VPN while doing it. Your account should be confirmed within some minutes.

While in the University, I promised myself that I wasn’t going to apply for any job after school. I stuck to it and kept learning as many skills and trying as many businesses as I can.

Of all the businesses I have tried, Freelancing was the best and most paying of them all. I still do it till now.

It’s over three years after school and I haven’t for a second thought of applying for any job, yet I earn more than many senior level workers in both federal and private sectors through freelancing.

Now, I’m not saying this to boast.

On the contrary, I’m writing this to encourage my fellow Nigerian youths, especially those who are unemployed or underemployed to look towards freelancing.

It’s the easiest business you can start from home with just your laptop and internet connection.

Yes, all you need is a computer and internet connection and you can start earning the type of money that will make your working class friends envy you.

What is Freelancing?

In case you don’t know is the art of selling your skill and time for money. The skill could be writing, graphic designs, typing, research, video animation, web design, music production, etc.

There are platforms where business owners around the world come to hire people with these skills and pay them for the needed services.
When you register on those platforms, these business owners gets to see you and hire you to do a job for them.

They pay you in dollars according to the amount you both agree on. This is usually in dollars and that’s one of the most important reasons why I work on Freelance portal……at least, I will always live above recession.

How much can you make from Freelancing and how can you receive the money you earn?

You can earn from $500 (N180,000) and above per month, working from home and spending not more than five hours per day.

Personally, I earn between $850 and $2,500 (though I have earned up to $3,000 in a month twice since I began 20months ago). That is between N280,000 and N825,000 and most importantly, I work for less than 4hours daily.

You receive your money through Payoneer which is a payment option acceptable for Nigerians. Payoneer gives you a customized ATM card where every money you earn is loaded. Whenever you want to withdraw, you just slot it into any ATM machine and it will pay you the Nigerian equivalent. You can also use exchangers as they pay higher (black market rate) than banks.

I use this card to do shakara every time I go to an ATM. I like to use it to intimidate bankers as 90% of them have never seen such ATM……lol.

Again, I’m not saying this to boast, but to encourage you to stop complaining and whining about the unemployment in the country and start taking your own destiny into your own hands.

Which freelancing platform should you start with?

There are a whole lot of them: Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, FiverrUp, etc.
But I always recommend Fiverr, maybe because that’s where I started and found huge success.

How much do you need to invest to get started?

Absolutely nothing, except maybe data, which can’t cost you more than 2K per month.

All you need is a laptop (some say phones work too, but I prefer laptop) and internet connection.
With this, you are ready to start banking heavy income working from your room and earning a cool living.

Can you sustain a family with freelancing?

I added this question because I saw a Nairalander ranting that you can’t sustain a family on freelancing.

That is a fat lie.

I’m taking care of myself and my immediate family from my freelance income. I’m not married yet, but I have a fiancée who I also take care of through freelance.

If you treat freelancing as a business, it will pay you like a business owner.

How do I get started?

I can only show you how to start on Fiverr because that’s where I work. If you need help with other platforms, you can Google it or ask the question here on Nairaland to get help (I’m sure there are many Nairalanders earning huge income from this).

If you want to get started on Fiverr, I can guide help you with a very detailed tutorial for it here with images and illustrations so you can successfully register and start banking big cash.

Remember, you should stop ranting about the Government. Focus that energy to learn and start earning huge calms. When you are comfortable, you can easily face the Government without being deceived by their bag of rice sharing.

in all of this, not once have you said what you actually do.

going through your profile sheds even less light on what your skillset is

all you have done here is throw freelancing around like a buzzword.

there is nothing to say whether you are a programmer, graphic designer, artist, animator, nada.
all you have done is come online to brag about the 'money' you're making

from your profile, you have been trying to run different ict hustles - but you don not have any ict skills

Freelancer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For other uses, see Freelance (disambiguation).

A freelancer or freelance worker is a term commonly used for a person who is self-employed and is not necessarily committed to a particular employer long-term. Freelance workers are sometimes represented by a company or a temporary agency that resells freelance labor to clients; others work independently or use professional associations or websites to get work.

While the term "independent contractor" would be used in a higher register of English to designate the tax and employment classes of this type of worker, the term freelancing is most common in culture and creative industries and this term specifically motions to participation therein.[1]

Fields, professions and industries where freelancing is predominant include music, writing, acting, computer programming, web design, translating and illustrating, and other forms of piece work which some cultural theorists consider as central to the cognitive-cultural economy.[2]
this is a description of fiverr

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiverr
Fiverr is a global online marketplace offering tasks and services, beginning at a cost of $5 per job performed, from which it gets its name. The site is primarily used by freelancers who use Fiverr to offer services to customers worldwide.[2] Currently, Fiverr lists more than three million services on the site that range between $5 and $500.[3]

Fiverr was founded by Shai Wininger and Micha Kaufman on February 1, 2010, and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel. Wininger came up with the concept of a marketplace that would provide a two sided platform for people to buy and sell a variety of digital services typically offered by freelance contractors. Services offered on the site include writing, translation, graphic design, video editing and programming.[4][5][6] Fiverr’s services start at $5, which is what the company’s name is based on and can go up to thousands of dollars with Gig Extras. Each service offered is called a "Gig".[7]
so, exactly what is it you actually do to get paid?

Intending freelancers should not take all these online marketers looking for traffic for their site and people to patronize their ebooks serious.

You can learn a lot about freelancing on any of the links below. There are loads of free info there. It is not actually easy as the OP and his ilk say; but is quite rewarding if one has one or two skills and is serious about the business.

Majority are from: Philippines, followed by Indian and Americans.

Good luck to you. If you want to learn how I did it, CLICK HERE.
Mr OP! Thanks for this wonderful piece, GOD Bless you, but not happy with the price of your training manual "#4999" is high. Because I know you'll still get $5 for every referral you make, that alone should subsidise the cost of your training manual.
