Just finished with my test. GT geologist Lagos. There is nothing to be scared of, it was easier than i presumed. For those yet to write, make sure you prepare for number series, Quantitative reasoning, statement and conclusion, percentage and fill in the gap with appropriate options. There are only five sections with 9 questions per section. Calculators are allowed and the test is just 45mins. There is a place to keep your bags/phones for just #100 for those writing in Lagos. Best of luck to us all. 8 Likes |

Fashion designers are incapable of understanding the mind of the general public very well. II. Public go for a new change every time. Options: A - Only conclusion I is valid. B - Only conclusion II is valid. C - Either conclusion I or II is valid. D - Neither conclusion I nor II is valid. E - Both the conclusions are valid. 1 Like |

scarplanet:It's so unfortunate that u can talk in this manner. Maybe u are the 'deluded, confused or lazy person here'. Y will a serious minded person rely on just one past question? The fact that people are sourcing for more past questions does not mean that they are deluded as u mentioned. Moreover, how is it a business of urs to comment on that, after all, the questions were not requested from u. @Titiluvly, thanks a lot. I really appreciate ur kind gesture. IMPORTANT ADVICE for those yet to write 1. Manage your time very well!!! The time to answer 45 questions in 45 minutes will almost certainly not be enough because many questions may take more than a minute to answer. Make sure you skip the ones you don't know or are not sure of (DON'T SPEND TIME TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT even if it seems easy). I suggest that you guess any difficult one and move on then note the section and question number on your rough sheet. You can come back to it later if you have time BUT trust me when I say this, there may be no time at the end to even go back to select answers at random. So if you have guessed already, it may be right or wrong and if guessing is what you'll have to do at the end, then you already have something selected 2. Don't cram Questions may not be repeated so just study the basics or formulae of whatever it is you're studying then practice some for better understanding. The rate at which people are looking for past questions is really astonishing. Many others keep dropping their email addresses...why? The so-called DPR PQ's were culled online or those of other agencies. This approach is even counter productive because one may end up wasting time studying what is irrelevant to the ongoing aptitude test. As I said, understand the principles so you may apply them on your own 3. Don't come with unnecessary stuff Only bring along a clear copy of your exam slip, a valid means of ID having a clear picture of your face, a calculator (not necessarily scientific) and pencil to do some minor calculations. It is also advisable to also come along with evidence of invitation. For instance, printing out the email directly from your inbox. I was asked for it and I had to return to get it. Please note that the rough sheets from you at the end of the test and you're expected to write your email and phone number on the paper. Only God knows if they intend to look at it to deduce whether or not you knew/worked it or guessed. Keep phones, bags and study materials away 4. Be refreshed There may be a delay due to network and it may affect the time you're meant to start. Ensure you ease yourself before coming. Drink water to avoid dehydration. There may be waiting without the freedom to go grab your bag or get back to your car or even buy something. For those that don't take breakfast, you may want to reconsider as this may affect the speed at which your brain processes the test questions 5. Come early Don't deliberately come to the venue very close to the time because of what was stated on the exam slip. Come to the venue early and figure out the entrance, exit, current batch writing, next batch to move in (yours), etc. All the same, they will call the batches when they're ready. So the 30mins and 15mins latest and earliest arrival time is misleading as someone may decide to arrive at the venue close to the time. There are many applicants so if you do that, you're on your own. Though there may be delays 6. Give your best shot and pray about it! The number of applicants is huge! Many unemployed/employed and experienced/rookies who applied from all over the nation and even abroad for multidisciplinary categories to be tested at only few locations (Abj, Lag, PH, etc). Now how many do you think are going to be employed? You'll agree with me that this may not exceed 500 required candidates overall for GT and EH (just saying but being realistic). Don't feel discouraged especially due to the Nigerian culture of recruitment into government agencies (you know what I mean). The fact is that many are going to be on merit because there are many sensitive roles that require really competent hands/brains and would not just be assigned to some people no matter who they are. Come to think of it, they won't spend so much money and time especially as regards venue, consultants, etc if they really won't hire on merit. One may argue that it is just to fulfill all righteousness especially federal character but hey, keep hope alive... we all stand a chance of being hired. DPR is one of the best places to work in this country, if not the best (leave those multinationals aside - they sack and unsack anyhow and it's not about salary but working conditions, career prospects, job security and allowances). GOOD LUCK TO US 28 Likes |
