Finally, the six Senior Secondary School Students of Lagos Model College,Igbonla, Epe, who were abducted on May 25, 2027, have regained freedom.

They were rescued from Aboto creek, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo state ,
at about 3.30pm.


Their release as gathered was effected by the Lagos and Ondo states government and the Nigeria Police.

The students, Pelumi Philips, Farouq Yusuf, Isiaq Rahmon, Adebayo George Judah Agbausi and Peter Jonah were abducted from their school and when the
kidnappers established contact with the parents, a ransom of N400m was
demanded but this was later reduced to N100m owing to the inability of the
parents to meet up with the demand.


The kidnappers were said to have advised the parents to reach out to others
and deliberate on how to raise the N100m as well as mounting pressure on the
state government to raise the money for them.

- They must have suffered! Maybe bread and beans daily.
- This must be handled by a high profile kidnapper in the shade of Evans. This might be a case of SW learner
- These kids must have been transported by road
- Osinbajo has done very well by intervening.
- Now Ambode has no reason not to start repairing our roads immediately
- The parents should not give up the fight of training their kids in school.
- Schools in Epe should be relocated from danger zones esp. riverine areas
- Ambode's LASUTH should take all the students for thorough medical examination
- EFCC, CBN should trace the payment and lodgments and report accordingly.
- End of term party should be handled by the school under huge presence of the armed forces.
- Ambode should personally welcome the kids to State House and grant them scholarship.
- The children should be sponsored by well meaning Nigerians to study overseas.
- DSS should investigate all the telephone conversation from base stations etc made during the time of kidnap.

These Students were kidnapped but nobody blamed the government. But when Chibok girls were kidnapped many people called for GEJ's head. The level of hypocrisy in this country is so alarming.
