Re: Fayose Reacts To CNN Mockery Of Nigerian President by elegushichilling: 7:17pm On Jul 31, 2017
Why are Nigerians insulting our president over what he has no control upon? The president is sick, but it is never his wish to be sick. It can happen to anyone. If sickness can be taken away by just a wish, he wouldn't be on a sick bed in first place.

What is there for CNN to apologize for? Is it defamation to say that "there is a country whose president has not stepped foot on its shores for a long time, and that country is Nigeria"? It's reporting of a fact. If we don't like being mocked, we shouldn't invite mockery.

Even if Baba returns, there will forever be the fact that he was absent. This is rather unprecedented in modern history for the chief executive to be absent for so long, (and his illness undisclosed), and we should be aware of this come 2019.

Forget all kinds of promises... past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour, and this is twice - it must be said - that the North has visited this type on nonsense on Nigeria

"Anybody BUT Buhari" is my own slogan for 2019. Click like if you agree, and just ignore this post if you disagree

Most Nigerians are insulting him because of two main reasons
1.That he campaign for the use of our health facilities and condemned politicians seeking treatment outside Nigeria
2.That he blasted the Yaradua during his health challenge
Now tell me why they wouldn't insult him when he was playing politics with the above reasons? Wasn't it better he had kept quiet then.

I don't understand all the fuss. The President is not immortal. He is sick and there is a competent Acting President. Does Fayose suggest that women on maternity leave should be forced to resign.

This kind of thinking is akin to zombies - no offense.

First they said he wasnt sick that he just went for routine medical checkup. Then we heard that he was hale and hearty but was waiting for test result for medical routine check.

Then it changed to pray for Mr President.

Now think without bias, is it possible for you to work for a company/firm/organisation, fall sick and take sick leave, go to the hospital on the companies expense and the company doesnt know what is wrong with you or when you are coming back.

And when the company tries to find out, the next thing they will hear is "his health is a private matter", "he is hale and hearty, he is just waiting for Test result for medical tests before he can return back to work" ,"anybody can fall sick", "he is only the MD, there is a competent Deputy MD and he is working, why force a sick man to resign?"

If you were the Chairman or owner of the company, will you still be eager to retain the services of this person who can "just fall sick" and disappear and "are not immortal"??
