Hey guys, Happy new month!

I saw some very insightful and comprehensive information on IRCC's website regarding how a study permit is assessed and reviewed by officers, procedures they follow, requirements of the IRCC act and conditions applicable by their law on consideration of each application.

Someone may find this useful, so i decided to share the links here for more information.

Assessing an application and procedure they follow :http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/students/evaluation.asp

Definitions and other considerations: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/students/consider.asp

The IRCC act and regulation governing the issuance of a study permit :http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/page-43.html#h-122

is there an expiry date on your acceptance letter?
im supposed to resume 1st week in september too buh acceptance letter's expiry date says 24th of september so i guess thats extra time

That is right! Everyone should check their acceptance letter. There is usually an expiry date and this is extra time allowed by the school proactively to account for visa delays. For example, my resumption date is September 6, 2017. The expiration date on my acceptance letter is November 15, 2017. This means the latest I can show up to school and be fine is the latter date. To commence the winter term that starts in December.

Hi guys, does anyone know if the VO contacts the company the visa applicant works at during visa processing to verify if the applicant really got study leave from his company

If something is amiss or suspicious about your application, they would. Normally no.

Hello boss,

The best thing to do is ask your school if it works that way.

It generally depends on schools. When i first got admitted, my letter has the extra weeks thing. When I asked my academic unit, I was told I can only have a- 2 week delayed resumption approval and if I dont show up by then, it means I have to re apply for admission for next fall term.

So, do not assume, please ask them to be sure.

Try MUN. You only need GMAT. It's also quite affordable compared to the rest.
