bidexiii:why did they go for T90S they could have have gone for T90AM version T90S in Indian service in deserts have been struggling with breakdown of electronics components in intense heat. Indians had to include a locally developed powerful milspec AC within the congested interior. it took a lot of effort and money ![]() |

Odunayaw:Is it incomprehensible to believe that they just bolted like Usain. We may not wish to consider this option our national pride, etc. The NA lacks infrastructure and fit for purpose equipment however, Boko are not over equipped or better equipped than the NA. Highly motivated, ready willing and wanting to die a resounding big YES. They have predominantly light arms, certainly not any artillery. A smattering of unstabilised HMG'S on the back of pick ups, highly inaccurate unless at close range. But have very good terror effect particularly if you are not trained and disciplined you might run in fear. Was with some marines sorry British last month and it was possible to use a 50 cal. stabilised with optic sights to snipe and hit a bottle at 1000 metres. Precision weaponry always wins more effective and less wastage. |

Henry240:Report on the reliability of the Chinese CS/VP3 from Kenyan armed forces battling Al shabab, it is not inspiring, see link below. http://www.bestchinanews.com/Military/7114.html https://kenyastockholm.com/2017/06/09/mabati-pick-ups-passed-for-armoured-cars-and-kills-kdf-soldiers/ There are some political undertones that may ☁ objectivity when you watch the video. However knowing the Chinese penchant for corruption and substandard product I am concerned. In reality would rather buy a used or refurbished MRAP from Europe, the USA or Russia than a brand new one from China but that's my prejudiced view. Just like I would rather have a 5/7 year old German Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, etc any day. Than any Chinese Changan, Tianjin car, etc. I will carry that same bias without apology for military procurement, with regards to Chinese weaponry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhteGK9Wn14 |

komekn:Mate the Chinese MRAP is not that bad though we've posted pictures of some that are being destroyed beyond repair but I'll still give them a pass mark. Go to YouTube and see western and Europe MRAP being cooked beyond recognition. Those MRAP where being purchased for the Kenya police and the magnitude of that IED has to be enormous for it to render MRAP into pieces.

The nigerian military should be renamed the nigerian boyscout or the nigerian special police force. Wearing kaki and holding rifles doesn't make you a military force. Being leathal, prepared for war, constantly doing research on military doctrin and on weapons creation and manufacturing, that is what makes you a military force. But what do I care, fvck all militaries anyway. |

It seems you guys here are cultivating a culture of militarism. Although I still don't get the fascination with "military uniforms" and the ability to hold rifles which you keep boasting with the photos you are sharing. If what you like is military then you should rather be discussing military strategy and military history. this your thing just looks incredibly silly. |

bidexiii:Pls what's the sit rep on the personnel in the vehicle at the time of the incidence? All those commenting should know that no MRAP is 100% safe. The whole idea is for the personnel on board to survive. They could still have broken bones, internal bleeding depending on the volume of the blast but they'll survive. |
