The police on Tuesday arraigned a popular Ibadan based radio presenter, Mr Oriyomi Hamzat, before Magistrate A. A. Adebisi of the Oyo State Magistrate court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan over allegation of murdering a 17-year old boy.

The 37 years old Hamzat was docked alongside four others; 27 years old Idowu Ibrahim, 31 years old Mohammed Bashir, 23 years old Taiwo olaronke and 23 years old Yusuff Toyeeb Ajisafe.

The five suspects were arraigned at the Magistrate Court 3 on a two-count c‎harge bordering on conspiracy and murder.

Hamzat was arrested by the State’s police command after the body of the boy was found in his car. The deceased was an orphan being raised in an unregistered orphanage home, allegedly belonging to the suspect.

The prosecutor, Mr Sunday Fatola, alleged that Hamzat and other defendants on July 21, 2017, at about 4am, conspired together to commit murder and unlawfully caused the death of a boy identified as Peter, by inflicting an injury on his head and body.

Magistrate A.A. Adebisi, after the pleas were taken, ordered the defendants to be remanded in Agodi Prison pending the legal advice from the state Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case till September 5, 2017.

I leant that the man was suspended from personal airing of programs on radio and tv because he treated a cased that has to do with the constituted authority, as soon as the suspension was lifted, then this. My intake is that this is nothing but political setup or political higihaga

I don't really go with the idea that this man killed the deceased ....come to think it; a man that set up an orphanage house just to help the orphandd will there after killed one of them? What for?
I think the deceased was sick and in the process of treating him/her passed out but due to the fact that he's operating unregistered organization and the deceased body was found in his car probably on his way to the morgue he was tagged as a killer

For those who don't have any idea who the man in the pic is, he is Oriyomi hamzat, a great man of honour and integrity, respected for his great work on air and in the life of the ppl. He is an activist,man of the ppl and ears for the deaf. He has championed many causes and he is always at the front to confront the bad leaders with there evil ploys and antics. It is obvious, he was being framed by our so called leaders in order to cut his wings and tentacles for dem to have a free ride on the masses. Oloto oni ku sipo ika. You shall overcome their ploys and come out victorious. Nigerians, when are we going to wake up and challenge this misuse of power?

Perhaps they should avoid keeping them with Normal prisoners that are mostly innocent..

Pray you are never set up it life. Am not here yo defend anyone, I have never met him before and i dont want to know who the hell he is but common sense tells me that somethings are not adding up here,beside am based in Ibadan and i know what CONSTITUTED and his elite can do.
