O/C puff-puff, I made the most embarrassing batch of uff-uff ever. It was so oily and the inside was semi cooked.

Pray tell, what could have gone wrong?

Did you allow the oil to get hot?
Even when you fry on low heat, let it not be too low so that it does not soak

I sent you a pm

Hubby just left to get food for me.
I stopped using disposable wipes for her at 8months, I wash her bum with water

There is something you can do: try and get her blanket, some few toys or maybe a book for her, even a sticker for her wall. A lot of times, we underestimate how our surroundings affect our recovery and hospitals are such cold places. it will make you and her feel a little better and mentally being strong makes you stronger to beat any infection, it's uplifting. So just some colour and a few of her things to make the hospital room not so cold. if you see hospital rooms abroad, they do it and they encourage people to bring things from home.pele

I had it during pregnancy and experienced it after birth but honestly I didn't do nothing. It went inside itself. Talk to your doctor

It'll eventually go in on its own.I was told to do s sitz bath with salt but MIL told Me to squeeze out scent leave water and drop there .Also my meals were mostly with ugu to soften the poop and stay away from bread. pls don't strain while pooping and try drinking up to 3l of water a day(2 big Eva).

Thanks dear. Just seeing this, hubby took my phone so I can sleep. She's now playing and blabbing the language she understands with her dad altho he'll soon leave (male don't sleep over at female ward), he didn't go to work today cos of her. She still have another drip to take around 9, her temperature 37.1, her poop is no longer scanty but cattarh-like, her eyes are still weak.

Liftedhands:
Aww sorry sis! God's healing upon her.

Air the bum as much as possible and use water to wash.

Thanks dear. She's not wearing anything now. They removed her diaper around 6 to monitor her poop (dunno why they choose that time)

Hahahaha
I wish my son would just eat
My mum made pap for him with hopes that he will take it since he didn't like the Tom Brown and cerelac again but the boy no gree
I bought nutribom rice cereal and he still doesn't take it.
I tried banana, he squeezed his face as if I gave him poo but he took small
Last night I gave him mashed potatoes, he rejected it when I used spoon but when I used my hands, he ate it well. So I guess I'll look for potatoes recipes for babies and make for him.
Not to worry my boy was like that before, he always rejects food especially when I am nearby. All he is always after is breast milk. Immediately he clocked 9 months his eating pattern changed, am even scared of the rate at which he eats now. Once he sights plate naa food things , ur food can't waste where my son is.

Thanks, we're on admission now. Did another test today still the same thing(no malaria, no infection,) . Now she's vomiting and watery poop, if I give her ORS she'll vomit everything. They dewormed her and placed her on drip.
Well done ma, how is ur daughter now? My son experienced something similar early last month he was vomiting and stooling coupled with high temperature, we spent 5 days at d hospital. They did orisirisi test but no sign of infection and malaria, eventually a consultant paediatrician was called and he diagnosed viral infection and said no drug can stop it until it stops by itself. He advised me to take him home and observe him, he taught me danger signs to look out for and second day after we got home it stopped.
Something great happened afterwards, my baby dat doesn't like eating before changed completely and now eats well. Dunno if it has anything to do with it.

Hey mamas,I am thinking of just resigning from work to take care of my LO. I resumed back to work last week just as he turned 3months old. Before I resumed I introduced Nan because the breast milk I express won't be enough for him till I come back(we have not had power supply for like 1month 2weeks). I leave on the mainland and work on the island,I leave home say 5:40am with hubby so we have a nanny that takes care of my DS. I breastfeed him very well before leaving, some mornings he feels to sleepy to suck very well.

So to the issue now,I introduced feeding bottle to him like 1month before I resumed and he was taking it very well, just before I resumed he just stopped taking it. He doesn't take even the breast milk from spoon or bottles but he sucks breast very very well . So we resorted to forcing him even when he is crying to take the expressed milk/Nan via spoon. When he is very hungry,he takes say 60mls(then he starts crying, coughing so loud and sometimes ends up throwing up). This is what happens every single day since I started work,he seems to have lost so much weight. I come back say past 6pm as I close by 4pm for now.

So i came back earlier than normal yesterday,I opened the door with my key. The state I saw my son just made me breakdown, his clothes and bib was very wet,his eyes were red and teary. He just finished his milk of not even up to 60mls,for his cloth to be wet most likely he was pouring out the milk as he was been fed.

So I am wondering, for how long will we continue force feeding my 3months plus son when all he just wants is breastmilk directly from the breast itself at least for now. I actually plan quitting my job say October while I try to get a place close home, maybe I should resign by the end of this month and come take care of my DS before I lose him(he cries every time he is being fed till I come back home in the evening).

Sorry for the epistle,I am a first time mum and I am so confused at the moment. I love my son sooo much and I feel so guilty seeing him pass through this. Mum and mum in law thinks he will adjust but this is almost 2weeks now and he is even getting worse as he gets so angry at been fed with spoon. Mamas advice me oooooo

you can put him in a nearby creche that way you sneak out and breastfeed him, you'll also monitor him maybe he's not comfortable with the nanny

Jaygrl, don't resign yet... Sit back and analyse the situation. There is always a way to go about it.

1. Take him along and keep in a creche close to your office. He's still young and has emotional attachment for you hence the cries. Your nanny can't play that role and may not be patient with him.

2. Stop force feeding! 1 in 3 children always have push backs when it comes to feeding. Since you are the mother, you can always figure a way around it. I resumed work when my daughter was 2 months old and she also rejected the bottle! I bought different types, yet nothing!

Solution : we fed her with syringe. I breastfeed in the morning before I leave. Since you will be taking him along, breastfeed on the way before you get to the creche.

Pop in at break time, breast feed and play with him then go back to work. I went home (cos baby was at grannies) every break till she was 7 months old.

Keep trying but ensure he's not force fed. Let them sing along while feeding. When he gets to 4 months, you can introduce cereal.

Pele dear. It can really be frustrating for a first time mum

Mamas I got tempted by all this sumptuous purees u people are talking about here. I decided to give my 5mths+ exclusively breastfeed baby banana puree and apple puree separately and he took it very well but I noticed he had to push so hard poop he cried so hard when he pooped and when I checked his diaper and I could pick the poop off the diaper to tell u how hard it was. Hubby had to force him to drink water cos he doesn't like it.
I tot fruit helps people to poop easily? Pls what didn't I do right?

The nanny was employed one month before I started work so he is very used to her,she was around when he was accepting the bottles and she was feeding him very well.
