When would Nigerians realize that a 3rd place finish should never be called a winner. Even the second person is not a winner either. In fact, the second person is the first loser. It makes me cringe each time I hear Nigerians saying stuffs like: he won silver, she won bronze. No, you don't win silver, rather you lose the gold medal. In the Olympics, like any other sport, the only winner on the podium is the gold medalist. Hence, you only sing one national anthem during the award ceremony ... that of the gold medalist. The other two are the consolation prices.
