Dude, i can barely understand the gibberish you've typed up here.

I said respect the dead and the wishes of the families of the dead.

They don't need some random individual picking up photos of thier dead relatives from facebook and posting them in some random forum.
That's what u fucken think.

Go peace off ur self if u av nothing positive to drop on the thread, a nice Bollywood movie will calm ur adrenaline that has being on the rise since yesterday.

They probably can, I think that is the kind of equipment ordered from Belarus.
My opinion

@bidexii. How often do our airmen undergo trainings in the US. Seems NAF guys are already gearing up ahead of the arrival of the super tucanos.

Hint...

Airmen ? You mean our pilots . Nigerian pilots regularly train in the states and are still training.
Last month two combat pilots of NAF were ‘winged’ on Tuesday, July 4, after successfully completing an 18-month specialized undergraduate pilot training at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas in the states.
During there training they went through the primary and fighter jet training, during which they amassed over 100 flying hours each on the T-6 Texan ii and T-38 Talon aircraft types.
But for the tucano thing, am not sure about that .

Those referred to as “Airmen” are non commissioned officers, they don’t train in the US I think you’re talking about pilots ?
Guys let's move to a better discussion.

I posted a link these morning and I later removed because I was not sure about the authenticity. So I was left with the option of removing the link, moments after the link was not there again on the website, it has already being removed.

But later these afternoon a friend who is in the air force called me to inform me about the super tucano's. That we will be getting them December to January next year .[/quoteIn all sincerity,I can't help but laugh at the leadership of the NAF. How can we spend hundreds of millions on dollars procuring aircraft that look like WWII planes for fighting insurgency? Like seriously? What happened 2d JF17s? Why aren't we bringing russian 4th gen jets? What's so special about the tucanos anyway?

Is that what you think? What's your unit of measurement or comparison.

Do you know the casualty figure in that war 10,000 +predominantly combatants limited civilian casualties.

Compare that to operation Serval which birthed into Operation Barkhane to route the Islamic Maghreb in Mali and others started in 2012 and is continous. To date not more than 20 French combatants killed.

How many Jihadists killed over 1000. What's the strength of the Jihadists and partners over 15,000.

Compare that to the monthly death toll in the North East.

Do you think they didn't try to Ambush the French they just didn't have any succes. Whyhuh

You think it was because they were using Toyota pick up truck with HMG's.

By the way a few of the British Marines were doing unarmed security in the Niger Delta.
You've begun to miss the point
-Read abt that war with the earlier point in mind and come back

-French ops in The sahel is more birds than boots

-Death toll has been from predominantly soft target. Painful I must say

-The success of an ambush =/= Pick up

You mean the thunder like logo ? . that's an airborne logo usually worn by navy, airforce and army servicemen who are airborne qualified.

I have posted a lot SF pictures with them wearing that logo.

1st picture is the airborne logo

While 2nd & 3rd are green beret logos
1st pic is the badge given to any soldier that successfully completed the Q-Course

The 2nd pic is the symbol of the US Army Special Forces

3rd pic is not concerned with the topic at hand

It actually shows you know nothing about the planes you are harping about

First read about counter Insurgency planes then come back and delete that comment (Well that's if you see the light)

Two things pissed me off

No sights on the rifles

The seeming appearance that NA SF has no homegrown insignia (Heck it pisses the sh1t outta me that we still use other countries' insignias)

We Will still be getting the jf17 multirole fighter jet but the super tucano is meant for COIN role. The tucano is meant for fight against terrorism and border patrol. We will need both and av to get both, let's forget about the propellers and how it looks like a relic that bird can deliver some deadly blow..
