And you expect a sensible person to believe ibadan and kano has more purchasing power than portharcourt, ontisha and Aba...

Kano that cant even feed its people and has the highest poverty and malnutrition rate in the country and the highest out of school children, highest vvf, highest almajiri, highest child illiteracy. same with Ibadan in the south. with the highest number of beggars and hungry people....empty mall and clubs...Last month i was in ibadan, i visited ebivande club which i was told was the biggest club in ibadan, to my surprised, it was only six people in the whole club, myself, my two friends and some ladies that we met at the club.. i was like fucck..we eventually left early in the morning.... so shameful., yet some ibadan peeps on Nairaland come here to form to make believe...smh

you afonja will not stop deceiving yourselves with your fake data gathering and media..these days it is easily for someone to put up fake data, attach it to a site or blog to make it look credible, post it on Nairaland and gbam it will make front page. then afonja will be dancing up and down in victory.

your brain is always turn upside down. What is the population of all the south east compare to kano and ibadan you just mentioned? What is the purchasing power of aba and onitsha you mentioned compare to kano and ibadan. What is the poverty rate of most of the eastern states compare to ibadan? All these, you can get the fact if googled through your phone with the help of NBS statistic. Thank God I have lived and visited most part of the eastern states before so you can't tell me any lie. You are always pain when non of your states is mention in a good thing. Next time your anger should be directed to your leaders not E worriors. Hope you hear me clearly? If talking about night club am sure your states will always take 1 to 5 Because you like rubbish things especially Owerri that is full of night clu and hotels for prostitutes.

Igbos breeds beautiful people They're several ugly people out there who have got ibo blood. Besides, every ethnic group, including our Fulbe, have a good mixture of beautiful and ugly people! But I refuse to agree wholeheartedly that Igbos are the most successful people or are more successful than Yorubas or Hausa-Fulani! Until u show me one bio man that is richer than Aliko Dangote, Michael Adenuga or Demi Otedola before I start taking ur opinion seriously! Or would u tell me that Forbes that ranked them is anti-Biafla?
This is your problem, no one is talking about Biafra here since it does not in any way relate with the topic on this thread.
Let me educate you on what you don't know about the Igbo people, there is this assertion of "onye ahana nwa nne ya" (do not leave a brother behind) in the Igbo business world, if we go into deep detail of that phrase, from there you'll understand the need of apprenticeship which the Igbo artisans and business men practice up till today, which if our brothers up north had adopted that Ideology there will be(sad to say) no or little amajiri roaming about the nothern cities unlike in the East where virtually no one is a begger. What I am saying in essence is instaed an Igbo man will sit on a particular profitable business all alone to enjoy its benefit, he is bound to look up for the brothers who are without jobs or good heads for academic, these brothers will do apprenticeship under him in the business and in short time he settles them to start benefiting from the business as well, that is why there is virtually many successful people in almost every Igbo home, in this case an Igbo man does not make money in business for his name to remain with forbe or normally we do have the attitude of not making our wealth public, and that's where the phrase "Onye mgbu na-egosi iru ebe ndi nwe oru na-ezochi iru(while the proud takes delight in publicity, the wise secretly conquers)" came about.
You and I know there are many Igbo business men that can compete with the world ranks in terms of riches but it is not in our diary to go public about our wealth.
We have the likes of Emeka offor, athur Eze, Orji Kalu, and many of them.
I have said enough for now, good bye

I once told people especially yIGBO people on one thread that the only recognized cities in nigeria are just 5.Others are cities wanna be

-Lagos
-Abuja
-Kano
-Ibadan
-port Harcourt

But yIGBO due to their delusion wants to create one arbitrary Anambra greater than lagos and Ibadan in their brain to compensate for the painful reality that always give them headache!

More datas are coming from people that are not deluded like you that will worsen your headache and send you to the grave

We can add Kaduna and Enugu to complete the Nigerian cities list.

I always marvel when I read Igbos remark that Anambra has 3 cities of Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi. So I begin to wonder what is a city and what is a town, and if the 20 local governments in Lagos are therefore 20 cities.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said that Lagos and six other states control about 90 per cent of cash transactions in the country. The other states are Rivers, Anambra, Abia, Kano, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The fact that Benin city is there and there are no Onitsha, Aba, Enugu shows that the list is flawed.
Not enough city coverage

Er..? Did you even read the report at all? Coz Benin city did not make the top 20 list with a metro size that can accomodate at least 1-million consumers based on economic power and market size… though benin still rep'd. Truth is that Edo state is doing better than any SE state… be it in igr or population increase (which translates into purchasing power) Lol. You ipob people sef. cheesy

No you are the one crying here because you lack understanding. where you find building like these are ancient cities and this are part of our heritage. remember no part of SW was ever ravaged by civil war in the past as yours did. we also have our mega estates elsewhere.

Look here ipig. I was talking about the top twenty. Every available credible data … be it IGR… population… or what have you puts Edo/benin above every SE state. Higher population definitely and automatically translates to a higher purchasing power. That's the truth. Learn to deal with it.

you are getting it all wrong again. Ibadan is the biggest city in west africa. Go and check Wikipedia. Ibadan has 6800sqkm, the whole of anambra state is 4800sqkm while IMO state is 5500sqkm. That means the city of Ibadan alone is larger than any state in the SE. All those places with brownroofs you post from Ibadan are not even up to 1/10 of Ibadan. Ibadan is the largest city is west Africa with very little forests within the city. So we have the brown roof areas and the beautiful side. Quit hating bro

Modified Enugu state has 7100sqkm just slightly bigger than Ibadan as a city. So Ibadan is large and the city is filled with buildings both old and new!!!

The Igbos have turned into a national laughing-stock.

No one took their chest beating seriously as they were regarded as entertainers. Now, they're getting responses from all sides as everyone is tackling them.

All their deceptive achievements are being exposed. Their phantom wealth is rubbished, their supposed business achievements are questioned and their legacies dismantled.
