Jawa: Hi jawa thanks for replying, please I will love to know if Canadian visa officer have access to the immigration database in Nigeria apart from your data page because I intend applying for study visa to go for professional piloting course and I intend telling them that I have no bsc certificate because I don't have the certificate but I have my result up to my final year level with carry over of 11 unit and outstanding fees + summer of 500,000 because I attended a private school. I had to stop for a while due to financial reasons after my final year and a low grade of 2.10 and that result was achieved after i got A parallel in all courses taking final year summer but it was too late to make a second class which I was not please with my performance since 2014 . So I had to leave for a whike and work in my dad's company which we had a great contract this 2016 of close to 200,000000 but the contract is on hold for now due to financial crisis. now my point is that I plan using a big financial institution which the owner has shares in my dad's company and has decided to claim to be my aunty, that she has been taking care of me since when i was a child that I never had any education history apart from school cert with a very high grade in weac, GCE and jamb of 260 as at 2010 and computer training. Which I started working in her firm instead of furthering more as an IT personnel with salary range of close to 100000 and savings of like 200000 and that her interest is to establish me after the course of 8 month till am financial OK which will benefit her firm at the long run 1 will visa office confirm my application of not attending school from passport office and also job employment. 2 will vo accept an aunty as sponsor and what doc should I use to support that 3 instead of liying which I don't support but I have to leave this country to explore mind you I have an explanatory sop to my knowledge. Should I come out with my educational history as explain above. Please if you are a vo have mercy on me abeg |

Hello Jawa and other gurus in the house, Please i need your candid advice before i submit my application. I wish to visit Canada in October for vacation. I'm thinking of using hotel reservation. Although I have family friends and distance relatives there, we don't have same surname, but i don't want to appear to have ties to Canada. I currently work in a multinational company, I've been to the UK where i spent 2 weeks of a 6 months visa. I recently renewed my UK visa to 2 years but i'm yet to use it. I have US F1 visa but i'm starting my studies in spring 2018. my only ties for now is just my work and my parent as i'm still single. Please I hope there's no red flag in all of this and do u think i stand a chance? How well can i present this application. thanks 1 Like |

Genuinely, we all should pray for the approval of this person's TRV application. If this application doesn't come out successful for any reason, this individual will sure bring the roof down on all of us. How can you be asking questions and making contributions to a thread as this as though this is a Ponzi Scheme ground? Scammers ke? It is yet a little over 3 months you submitted your application and nobody will know peace here. People waited for theirs to be treated and completed with over 190 days last year and hell was not let loose. So, kindly calm down and soak in the pressure, just go about your normal business while you await a response from them please.... Hopefully yours is granted! 1 Like |

I need reply... My family and I are planning to travel to Canada for the Xmas break, we have applied for American visa before but denied, we have also visited South Africa as family. My husband is a manager in his father's company but he doesn't receive salary but a part of percentage which isn't recorded ....thereby not having payslip. Can he generate any payslip and apply? We have a good bank statement, I don't just know why America won't give us.. What is our chances |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by shadeebee78: 4:26pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
Canada is more detailed with documentation more than America. If your husband can supply evidences of all the monies in his account, then you should be fine. He wont be the first business owner who doesn't have a payslip to apply for a visa. If he generates payslip but it is not recorded on his bank statements that is like misrepresentation. So be careful. All the best. dan147: 1 Like |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Jawa: 9:00pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
Fejoks: Dear Fejoks, this is too much information but i guess its okay.forgive my language but you can agree with me, if you are unbiased, that you seem desperate. this is what a VO is very well trained for. a TRV is issued on the grounds that the applicant will return and it is always best to present your circumstance as it is so a realistic assessment can be made by a VO. however, the circumstance you have just described does not look good. you need to take your time and prepare your application, please do not rush it as you may just be wasting your money. to answer your questions; firstly, i dont know to what extent the VOs have access so dont lie 1) most likely not but dont lie about this 2) your aunty as a sponsor is not always the best and it depends if you are visiting for pleasure or for business and/or school. it is always best to keep sponsorship in the nuclear family as the VO will wonder why your aunty is sponsoring you and not using her money for other things which, of course, can be explained if you have solid reasons. to make a stronger case, you may even have to show evidence of the relationship but every application is different so nothing someone tells you about a VOs assessment is definite. 3) LOL. clearly I am not a VO sir. i just contribute to the best of my knowledge and make my opinions clear in some cases. i can never advise someone to lie in an application and if any form of information being expected is withheld, it may be considered a lie and appropriate sanctions will follow. follow your guts but take it easy. best of luck |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Jawa: 9:02pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
Leleky: hi, in my understanding, the application is considered incomplete and shall be returned to the applicant without processing. however, the vfs guys are supposed to point that out. good luck |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Jawa: 9:17pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
Snillous: hi, you may have to cut out your lawyer on this one. i am not sure i understand what you explained but i dont think it was the Canadian consulate that called you to reapply, my opinion. first, apply for your GCMS notes to find out why. 5 million nigerian naira is a lot of money, almost CAD20,000 which many Canadians cant even boast of, but this application is primarily not about your money. you have to show substantial ties back home to sway the VO, a tangible reason why you have chosen to visit Canada and a well laid out plan of stay with an intent to return home. the money must also have explainable sources. my take? when you receive your notes, make sure everything in it are addressed and then apply yourself and turn in your application at manor house in lekki third roundabout if you want to take the paper route. best of luck GCMS would mean Global Case Management System but a simple googling would have explained that. if you plan to make this application yourself, you have to make use of the internet and do some research. this is not the UK visa which is primarily about money or the US visa where they are not interested in documents at the embassy. this is an intellectual one just like the Australian or new Zealand visas and that's why these places, including Canada, count as solid travel history worldwide. |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Jawa: 9:33pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
rinw: hi rinw, i suggest you just come out as you are. single people get visas always. I am single and I even have family in Canada which is a tie but I have a Canadian Visa and this is the first one i secured as an adult without family sponsorship. to be honest, i even think having friends and relatives may make your case better, my opinion. it is a VOs choice to determine which conditions are good or bad and who merits a visa and who doesnt. the ties you mentioned above are the only ones i have too(work, family, travel history and im single) not a single landed property and an account balance of barely one million but my application was straight forward and my letter of explanation was detailed. i often imagined how easy it would be for a VO to assess my application. i also dont rush any visa application, something always goes wrong. i dont see anything wrong with your situation but of course, im not a VO. on a second note, if your guts arent that strong, wait till you resume your studies and do like a term and then apply, it may be easier and definitely shorter but not necessary positive as some people i know that have gone this route were refused so applications are case by case. take it easy and good luck. 1 Like |
