What Happens To All The Windows Phone FanBoys On Nairaland?? by Joel3(op): 8:09pm On Aug 05, 2017
i was wondering in the early 2012 to 2015 there use to be a huge number of windows phone funboys on here that fight with Android and iPhone users here on which is better. but after 2015 they all disappeared with no one even mentioning window phone. there were alot of window phone threads way back with many pages, what then happen to those threads and where are the people?

i think its already too late for windows phone.

The most important reason I think why Windows phones failed is "The time". Facing with the trend of mobile computing devices, Microsoft moves too slow just like it miss the search engine and social internet. Microsoft is used to wait other new-coming company rise and just surpass them relying on its huge resources. However, once the soft ecosystem has been built, it's almost impossible defeated and replaced just like windows on desktop. Well, In one word, it's too late. That's all

Think about it.
Windows Phone is not as popular as Android and iOS because of the lack of apps. Recently, apps like HERE, Spotify and GoPro have ended support for Windows Phone although Spotify may make a UWP App.

The Store on Windows 10 Mobile build 14342 had been updated with new user interface improvements and buttons. This could attract more visitors.

Windows Phone may not be popular because it lacks a few less features than iOS, but has more than Android. It has built in maps, good battery saver and whole app menus.

what do you think was responsible windows mobile didn't make it?

10 decades is 100 years, you know that right?

You obviously know of how technology works, Android is great but it doesn't really have far to go, it's base was flawed and it's just a matter of time before something better comes along.

Because the Enterprise market is basically built on Windows, changing now would cost too much time, money and effort to be worth it for businesses, Android definitely doesn't have that kind of foundation.

Windows fanboys are gone yet. They're using Android or iOS, running the Microsoft ecosystem on their devices, and generally playing cool.

....... they're waiting for the rejuvenation........ which is coming soon.......

It's not about what they need, it's about what they can't do without, Android doesn't have that any individual or business today can drop Android and still find what they need somewhere else, even in today's lean mobile OS space.

Oga Android isn't that special, the reason Android became what it is today isn't because it's so great rather it's because it's free, simple as that.
