Kaztec owned by Sir Emeka offor Kaztec Engineering Limited (Kaztec) is one of the fastest-growing engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) companies in Nigeria. Established in 2005, the company has already completed several projects. Kaztec’s breakthrough project came in 2007, when it was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) to construct a 24-inch diameter, 107-kilometer long gas pipeline to convey gas to a gas fired power plant in Calabar from an offshore gas producing facility in Adanga. Based on its successful performance, Kaztec secured another contract from NDPHC in 2009, to rehabilitate and upgrade its gas metering facilities and perform integrity assessment tests on some of its existing gas pipelines. In 2010, Kaztec was awarded a contract; TB-1921, by Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited (Addax) to install subsea pipelines and topsides on Oil Mining Lease 123, offshore Calabar. Installing pipelines, risers and other subsea equipment and connecting them to newly-installed platforms and topside facilities required the full support of Kaztec’s fleet, which currently include the Ekulo Cheyenne, Ekulo Tornado, Ekulo Spirit and Ekulo Explorer. Kaztec also utilized remotely operated vehicles and air and saturation diving support in its execution of TB-1921. Kaztec completed Campaign 2 of the TB-1921 contract in 2011 and started working on Campaign 3 immediately afterwards. By mid-2012, Kaztec and Addax had agreed to work together under an alliance framework based on the success of both Campaigns. The alliance framework entails the collaboration of personnel from Kaztec and Addax in the performance of the engineering, procurement, construction and installation, as opposed to the standard client-contractor relationship. This model ensures that Kaztec continues to develop its capacity as a full EPCI contractor and that TB-1921 projects are completed on-time and below budget. Kaztec has received ISO 9001:2008 Certification and is currently a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and Pipeline Professional’s Association of Nigeria (PLAN). Kaztec is currently developing an oil and gas industrial facility on 531-hectares of land in Snake Island, Lagos. This facility is being developed in stages and when completed will include a fabrication yard, pipe coating facility, pipe mill, engineering base, office space, residential buildings, helipad, among other structures. The company is also acquiring more vessels to support its offshore engineering capabilities. Kaztec is a subsidiary of the Chrome Group; a conglomerate with many subsidiaries operating in various sectors of the oil and gas industry, such as exploration and production, servicing, petroleum and petroleum products trading, logistics and inspection services.

Yorubas have used their media power to deceive many, so many of us are so ignorant of what is happening around us THREE LEADING indigenous oil and exploration companies in Nigeria are owned by Igbo, one thing I cherish most from our top guys they play low profile, Aiteo group Selpat EROTON Aiteo emerges Nigeria’s leading oil & gas company with record 90kpod output in 1 year The company is confident that its significant gas resources at OML 29 will transform the country’s oil rich Niger Delta region into a power generation hub of repute before long LAGOS, Nigeria, March 10, 2017/APO/ — Integrated energy group Aiteo (http://AiteoGroup.com) has announced a peak production of 90kpod just one year after its acquisition of sub-Sharan Africa’s reputedly largest onshore oil bloc OML 29. Aiteo acquired OML 29 in September, 2015 when oil major Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) fully exited the facility. At the time of the divestment, average production was 23Kbpod. But Aiteo, one of the frontline sponsors of the justconcluded 16th Oil and Gas (NOG) Conference held in the country’s capital Abuja, says it has tripled this figure leveraging the diversity and skills of its work force and bona fides as a dynamic international energy conglomerate. Aiteo’s ambitious five-year objectives include tackling the power challenges in Nigeria head-on through its legacy investments in the gas-to-power value chain Its CEO and Vice Chairman Benedict Peters said the company grew production from 23kbbl/d upon takeover of operations to a peak of 90Kbbl/d in one year. He also highlighted several existing and developing projects that could potentially grow Aiteo’s asset production to over 150 kbopd and 200mmscf/d. He said: “Our outlook is bright with 3 producing oil fields and viable crude exports via Bonny terminal. We also have contingent resources to appraise and prospective ones to explore in the medium-to-long term, including full 3D coverage and 2P NNS reserves at 1.6bn bbl. Put simply, we have a clear vision for the future with the experience and assets crucial to providing oil and gas consistently on a regional and global scale.” Aiteo’s ambitious five-year objectives include tackling the power challenges in Nigeria head-on through its legacy investments in the gas-to-power value chain. “This is a testament to our commitment to the transformation of the entire oil & gas value chain into a world-class landscape,” Peters added. The company’s main subsidiary Aiteo Eastern E&P is also a major infrastructure provider for Nigeria’s oil industry as the operator of the 97km Nembe Creek Trunk Line, an industry-wide evacuation pipeline for produced fluids covering much of the country’s Eastern Delta region. Aiteo’s Group Managing Director Mr. Chike Onyejekwe said: “Our growth drivers remain strong leadership, high commitment and motivation, technical and commercial excellence and superior asset base. In the next five years, our operations will continue to be guided by these qualities as we leverage our capabilities comparable to oil majors elsewhere in the world. Indeed, the future is Aiteo.” In the interim, Aiteo says it is developing a pipeline of power generation projects across Nigeria. The company is confident that its significant gas resources at OML 29 will transform the country’s oil rich Niger Delta region into a power generation hub of repute before long. Igbo companies are topping in oil and Gas exploration and production in Nigeria while afonjas are making silly noise on media Seplat Aiteo Eroton Nigeria’s indigenous oil operators plan to increase production by 60 percent in 2018 Indigenous companies in Nigeria have concluded plans to increase oil production by 60 per cent at end 2018. This is expected to increase their collective output from the current 313, 602 barrels per day (bpd) to 500,000 bpd in 2018. This will also enable them to increase their contribution to the nation’s daily output from 10 per cent to 20 per cent, leaving 80 per cent to the International Oil Companies, IOCs, that currently produce 90 per cent of Nigeria’s total output. Current output breakdown showed that Aiteo, Eroton, NPDC, Oriental, Seplat produce 77,000 barrels per day, bpd 54,000 bpd, 42,654 bpd, 24, 000bpd, and 21,881bpd respectively. Newcross, Midwestern, Belemaoil, Amni, Conoil, Niger Delta, Walter Smith and Erin Energy produce 20,000 bpd, 13,000 bpd, 12,000 bpd, 11, 000 bpd, 9, 130 bpd, 7,000 bpd, 5, 837 bpd and 5,000 bpd. Others – Energia, Moni Pulo, Prime Energy, Platform and Pillar Oil – also produce 4,500 bpd, 3, 200 bpd, I, 200 bpd, 1, 100 bpd and 1, 100 bpd respectively. Investigations showed that the companies have intensified efforts in developing their assets to produce more in future. The Managing Director of Energia Limited, Mr. Felix Amieyeofori indicated in an exclusive interview that Energia started as a consortium of leading Nigerian service and technology providers who came together with little cash but with great personnel, equipment and services to work, thus culminating to the production of first oil. “Energia currently has the capacity to produce 7, 000 bpd but is looking forward to producing 15, 000 bpd in near future, hopefully as we resume full production and injection through Forcados terminal. Generally, we would want to participate in bidding for new oil blocks once the bid is out. We would want to grow,”~ he stated. The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Petroleum Company Plc, Dr. Layi Fatona, disclosed that the company is currently producing 7, 000 bpd. He said that the company has done more, considering that it produces nearly 45mm Scf/d gas from the Ogbele Field, and about 10,000 bpd and 260 mm Scf/d of gas from the OML-34 JV. Fatona indicated that in the short term, the company plans to remain relevant in a nimble way, within the Nigerian exploration and production patch. He disclosed that as for the medium term, the company will like to become an attractive investment vehicle, which is able to grow with steady injection of new capital periodically for each of outlined phases of growth. Fatona said that the company would seek to develop existing portfolio of assets. He said that as for the long term, the company will in a sustainable way; evolve as a Pan African Integrated Energy Development company. Aiteo disclosed that is aggressively pursuing exploration and production. Africa is the next growth frontier and is central to our vision and ambitions for the future. The company indicated that it sees opportunities where others do not look, and employ expertise and innovation to turn opportunity into rewarding reality. It stated that the deep water basins off the shores of West Africa represent an important source of new oil at a time when many conventional sources are becoming more challenging to develop. The company noted that it may not be easy to realize the full potential of West Africa’s offshore fields, from the Niger Delta to the Benin Basin to the west, but the rewards for doing so are significant. According to Aiteo, deep water exploration is expected to take Nigeria’s proven oil reserves above 40 billion barrels by the middle of the decade, while retrieval of the valuable commodity could bring this figure back down to less than 28 billion barrels by 2021. “We aim to work tirelessly across the upstream market, in both exploration and retrieval, so that our future discoveries add to the known oil reserves of the African continent as a whole and support the oil industry for the long term, while our work to tap into already-known reservoirs of oil increases output in the short term, bolstering Nigeria and other African countries’ positions as world leaders in oil production.~ “Nigeria is Africa’s largest oil producer and, in global terms, ranks 11th, with an output of around 2.45 million barrels per day. However, an increase in output of 500,000 barrels per day could take it to 7th worldwide, ahead of Mexico and the United Arab Emirates; output growth of 1 million barrels per day would put it close to Canada with nearly 3.5 million barrels of daily oil production,” the company explained. But many problems may hinder, as Energia boss indicated that insecurity and militancy are major problems that constrain operations. He said that others include unstable oil price occasioned by shale oil and oil supply glut, inadequate funding, illiquidity, foreign exchange dilemma and delay in the passage of the nation’s Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB. The Managing Director of Seplat Petroleum Development Company, Mr. Austin Avuru, had predicted that the indigenous companies will also produce about 1.5billion Cubic Feet of gas daily in 2018. FKO81:Frank since you started this thread, it is your responsibility to update it regularly so that it does not end up disgracing Igbos instead of promoting the awareness and information you said was your purpose. While i do not doubt the policy of misinformation and fake news coming out of Lagos press, i still doubt if creating a rival thread to the yoruba chest beating thread was the right approach. They seem to be advancing their thread ( https://www.nairaland.com/3918290/yorubas-most-industriousrichest-educated-tribe/204 ) , so you must research Igbos in Japan, America and other achievers of Igbo descent to update this thread to catch up. Igbo are not only industrialists or traders as you tend to focus on industries alone. There are Igbo professionals in academia, politics, medicine, research, sports, fashion, models etc are all over the world. Please capture them too as your rival is capturing yoruba in other spheres of life and not just manufacturing. Biko, don't relent. |

Dr Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi is Chairman of Neconde Energy He is currently the Group Managing Director for the Obijackson group of which Nestoil Plc(an EPC company) is a subsidiary. He has over 25 years in the oil industry Neconde was incorporated on November 26, 2010 as an independent oil & gas company serving as a special purpose vehicle for the acquisition and development of petroleum assets. The company’s core operations focus on the exploration and development of oil and gas assets for the purpose of production and sale of crude oil and gas stock to generate revenue. In January 2011, the Company participated, and emerged successful, in the bid for the acquisition of 45% stake in OML 42 held by Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited (“SPDC”), Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited, and Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited (the “SPDC JV”) with a bid sum of USD585 million to the SPDC JV who constituted the sellers. Following the completion of the acquisition, the new ownership structure of OML 42 is in the ratio of 45% (Neconde): 55% (NPDC). NPDC, Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, a subsidiary of NNPC, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, operated the asset between 2011 and April 2015. In May 2015, Neconde was awarded the operator of the asset on behalf of the Neconde/NPDC Joint Venture. Neconde’s status as an indigenous company with an excellent management team offers a viable option through which the currently under-developed reserves of the Niger Delta could be brought into production with potential economic and social benefits for the region and country at large. There is also an opportunity to utilize the associated gas produced for electricity supply to the region, resulting in significant socioeconomic benefits. Following the conclusion of the acquisition of OML 42, Neconde entered into a Joint Venture partnership with NPDC on the modalities for the development and revamping of the acquired block. OML 42 Asset Overview Shell’s divestment assets (OMLs 4, 38 & 41, OML 26, OML 30, OML 34, OML 40 and OML 42) are all located in the Niger Delta which is Nigeria’s most prolific and important hydrocarbon basin. OML 42 is located onshore West Delta with an area of 814 km2. OML 42 has 7 fields which have produced hydrocarbons and 5 undeveloped discoveries. OML 42 commenced initial production in 1969 at the Egwa field with a peak gross production rate of about 250,000 boepd in 1974. Over the last 20 years normalised production has been 100-150,000 boepd. Production is primarily oil. The block however was shut in 2006 due to security issues in the area. In February 2011, Batan and Ajuju fields were rehabilitated and re-opened by Shell (SPDC) before the divestment of 45% of its interest to Neconde, while the 55% interest belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, was assigned to NPDC, its E&P subsidiary . Effective December 2011, Neconde acquired 45% of the block, and in February 2012, the NPDC was named the Operator by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Batan field reached a production peak of 13,000 bopd in 2012 after it was reopened. Current production is circa 11,000 bopd from 12 strings. In early 2012, Neconde and NPDC agreed a work program to rehabilitate the remaining shut-in fields, namely, Odidi, Jones Creek and Egwa and reopen about 80 existing wells to production. In October 2013, rehabilitation works started in Odidi field culminating in the re-opening of the field in October 2014. Odidi is currently producing at 21,000 bopd from 19 strings. Similarly, rehabilitation works started in the Jones Creek field in July 2014 and it is expected to complete in August 2015. Jones Creek is estimated to produce 30,000 bopd when reopened and fully ramped up in 2015. Egwa is planned for rehabilitation from late 2015 towards a mid-2016 reopening at 20,000 bopd. Beyond the re-opening of existing wells, additional drilling activities and workovers are planned in the 2016-2018 period to further increase production to an estimated peak of 135,000 bopd in late 2018. Beyond primary development, there are further development opportunities in water injection and enhanced oil recovery to further increase production and reserves. In addition, there are 33 exploration opportunities in the fields that were previously identified by Shell. In May 2015, Neconde became the operator of the asset, for an initial period of ten years, following the approval of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Besides oil, OML-42 contains up to 6 TCF of gas resources that is planned to be developed in the next 4-5 years towards delivering up to 500 mmscfd to the local gas market. The gas development will also monetise a significant amount of condensate resources. Currently the Neconde/NPDC joint venture is currently rehabilitating the Odidi gas central processing facility to bring the first tranche of 40 mmscfd associated gas to the local market by end of 2015.
