Let's read the Holy Bible for some of those verses, the below list isn't by any means exhaustive

1. Psalm 1:6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

2. Psalm 121:5-8 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm– he will watch over your life ; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

look at it this way

You would have the same success praying to a milk jug as you do praying to god -- the milk jug sometimes answers your prayer the way you want to, sometimes not and sometimes the answer is delayed. See the problem here? If things turn out the way you want them to, you say it was because you prayed. If not, it's because god knows what's best and you didn't pray for the right thing. Or, if it happens 10 years later you say god answered your prayer, it was just delayed. This is nonsense. You would have the exact same effect doing nothing.

I don't blame you because you're afraid of accepting the truths about this god character to avoid maybe being smitten by his evil harmer (that's the fear god use in keeping his followers in line), hence you will opt out to say, his ways are not our ways.

I am a rational and objective individual and not the religious type but I must say that your curiosity has some energy and magnitude but without a sense of direction and purpose. Call it scalar quantity or anything of such, but I must categorically tell you that only a fool will be quick to say there's no God. Who do you think are the patron and matron of Religion? Only deep thinkers, philosophers, highly learned and people initiated and enmeshed in books Chronicled back to millions of years back. I have come to realize that The most religious people on earth are scientist, but only that they are very discrete and rational about it which I so much admire. As a matter of fact, I was once at a cross road like you are right now but If you continue like this, you will practically learn from experience since your not well cultured and soaked or baptized in history book enough. All I can say is that you need a big time mentor to put you in the right track.

Go and Tell a Church pastor, An Imam, A Traditional believer and those indulging in white and black magic of some sort and believe me, you will only be a dead man walking. You have to be shrewd with your words and learn to mince it if you can't. Try to read more of history books, social psychology and more of philosophy and reflective and strategy and social intelligence book and you will agree with me without need for argument that God exist! and if you think he doesn't, keep it to yourself and make it your personal opinion and view.
