No one is asking for the US to sit back and accept the threats but international diplomacy is way more than making threats and counter threats. A threat of nuclear annihilation is not what the World nor the Korean peninsula needs right now. And in as much as everyone thinks Kim Jong Un is a crazy, you need to understand that he knows very well that he cannot go into war with the United States. His bluster is for his people to see him as a strong man, it's all propaganda. Yes they have developed the tech but they will not use it because they know the retaliation will be devestating. When was the last time you heard Russia threatening with nuclear weapons? Nuclear war is a zero sum game and may give the worst type of pyrrhic victory.

The US should be focusing on what it already started making China which has something of a big brother relationship with North Korea, to put pressure on the NK regime to keep them in line. Continue to push through the UN either for disarmament or at least non aggression treaties.

I think you just misunderstood my entire comments. All I meant was That Trump was right to send a message to NK that the US won't back down if they continue to threaten the US. The "....sh*t's about to go down" was in quote and in reference to possible fears of the unknown expressed by some. No one is advocating for any Nuclear war cos it serves no purpose. The U.N. had already waded in with more sanctions. What you need do is to quit with the fear mongering and don't go into hyperventilating mode.
