As a theist , I deify the First Cause/Necessary being/Sustainer and Container of all realities ( a conscious being ) , as a Christian I believe this conscious being revealed Himself to us in the person of Jesus Christ whom according to history lived , died and resurrected .

As a christian you cannot divorce yourself from the properties and personality of god in Christianity. According to Christianity it is the same god that revealed himself to Jesus that created the world. There are different definitions and properties of god or gods in different religions. The properties of god in Christianity which you subscribe to are different from the properties of the supreme god in Zoroastrianism. Therefore there is a need to create a distinction, otherwise this conscious being I think is religionless. If so then ultimately religion is irrelevant.

-I also argue that without association with a religion there is no way to know or nothing to inform that the first cause is a being or even conscious being.

I don't see the issue. Elijah did use this same method to prove the power of Yahweh vs the prophets of Baal. The thing is, some of us are open to proof. If there was one clear demonstrated proof of the power of god there wouldn't be any atheists. You can't sincerely tell me thousands of years ago god was sending down balls of fire, destroying entire cities, stopping the rotation of the earth and giving humans extraordinary strength but now is suddenly incapable?

Rebuttal One : A thing cannot create itself

Rebuttal Two : Laws do not create anything , they are merely descriptions of what happens under certain conditions

David Hume : The universe is a necessary being since it is eternal , there is no God ( medieval age )

Rebuttal One : All scientific evidence indicate the universe has a beginning , there is no evidence or indication that the universe is eternal .

Rebuttal Two : An eternal universe though there is no such thing does not preclude the existence of God , it renders God impersonal if such exists .


If you can't provide "evidence" or reason there is no God like these people have done then don't bother .
