And that's a 30naira increase from when I filled it in May.
Propaganda don start. If you say you interviewed a cross section, then give us specific names and their locations, not junk journalism.
Bought 11kg (5+6kg cylinders) for #2800 this last monday at, Gas Land Oluyole Ibadan, Oyo State.

I was surprised, the information is true

Good for you then, perhaps the marketers in this part of the country are just plain dishonest.

10kg of gas lasts over 8 months in my house n I cook morning noon and night.

2800 ÷ 8 months ÷ 30 days is just 11 naira per day for cooking. Calculate ur daily kerosene costs, u will scream.

Whilst we celebrate the decrease in price of LPG product, lets also think of quantity the dealers both wholesale/retailers fill into the cylinders. Do you know that many of the BIG LPG plants cut as much as 1 - 1.5kg from users who are only interested in the price not the quantity? What they do is, reduce the price and take back from the quantity. If you want to confirm this, just get yourself a digital scale, weigh your cylinder before going to refill, add 2kg as weight of the nozzle and proceed to the filing point. Now assuming the weight of your 12.5 kg cylinder reads 13kg on the scale, add 2kg (weight of the nozzle) and 12.5 you will have 27.5Kg. ie 13+2+12.5 = 27.5kg. Some of us belief that the big gas plants use digital scales therefore, cant be adjusted. But its not true. The scales can be preset using the "IF" function.

I wont talk about the street hand-fillers here.
