Totally Wrong! You clearly don't understand how it works. These guys don't care what program you go for with or without good grades, as long as you meet the requirements that's it. They work with guide lines and it's nowhere stated you must go for a master program, go for whatever program suites you but meet their requirements PS: I know of someone at a College in Canada athat was admitted with a pass! Not 3rd class pass! Got his trv and about completing his program. Learn guys! jnyuwa02: |

I have been following your posts for a while now and you don't come across to me as someone who would shy away from something because others are running away from it. Did the fact that others failed to get an admit or funding from USask stop you from applying? Or should one decide to travel by road instead of air simply because others have died by plane crash? Obviously No! Stop discouraging people from going through this route because it is a tad more difficult. The reason why people go via the PGD route is because of low CGPA. Getting into a Master's program with low CGPA in some fields is as difficult or even more difficult than getting a TRV with a PGD Admission. Yes, they should know that it is difficult to get a TRV via the PGD route but they should also know that some people get it. They should also know that it is difficult to get into a Master's program with low cgpa but they should also know that it is not impossible. So let them choose their poison. In fact, with the way you magnify the difficulty associated with the PGD route, one will erroneously jump into conclusion that getting a TRV with a Master's Admit is like a walk in the park. Like someone rightly pointed, we should join heads together to figure out how PGD applicants can prove to the VOs that they're legit rather than imbuing them with doubts about their application. |

Miles490:Totally wrong? Okay. These VOS don't care what degree you go for? Okay. What is the the reason then why people going for PHD have very low to virtually no denial rate for TRV? They are taken to be very serious scholars whose purpose of visit borne by experience, has always been well defined. I am not saying anything is a walk through the park. Anyone who undertakes this journey of going through this TRV pursuit in my opinion, is to be commended. I am not saying PGD don't get approved. I am saying their uphill battle is the more uphill one. In comparison to masters and PHDs students vying for a visa. Someone with a law degree going for a PGD asked me and I felt a logical progression is an LLB for them. We have seen too many people run into problems with obtaining TRV who had first degree, instead of applying for a master's, going for a PGD. Low GPA should not mean we settle for PGD. Please search more better, there are programs spread across the country you will be surprised you can get into. I have analyzed the common perception on those going for PGD. Yes the onus lies with each candidate in dovetailing their applications no matter what course of study to show their eligibility for a TRV. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating. PGD is the more uphill battle on getting a TRV. My opinion is not to discourage anyone, but to guide and steer away from potential pitfalls. It is better to be safe than be sorry. By all means though, if you feel strongly about the PGD program and feel you can compellingly make a case for visa as some have, follow your gut instincts. |

You making a case for a person going for a master's program, not PGD. At any length, I have always been a proponent of change in career. I have vociferously encouraged it for those with the fire in their belly. PGD I don't feel too comfortable with because of the perception about it by VOs that it's an easy program to get into and rate of absconding in the past by those that have been given visa. You have made your arguments and I have made mine. It is better put to rest at this point so other things can take greater preeminence in the house discussion. |

Please how long do I have to wait for the correspondence letter to come out? They updated my account without first sending me mail, will the letter come via mail? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Osemigho: 12:07pm On Aug 17, 2017 |
senator77:Try and get the letter introducing you to whom it may concern. The letter doesn't have to state it's for visa. Just say you need a letter that says you work there, your position, duties and your salary. |

Good morning guys, I was refused this morning. Based on eligibility. Something like purpose of visit or insufficient fund would have made more sense but ineligibility for me is incomprehensible. Does anyone have an idea of what eligibility entails. I plan on applying for my gcms note. Any help in that regards would be appreciated too. |

God is so good! Submitted July 13th with upfront medicals, medicals passed a week after. Eligibility Review on August 16th being yesterday morning. Approval on August 16th when I checked at night. Got a BA in interior Architecture- Cyprus Ma in Architecture- UK Going for a second masters in Environmental Studies. I've been a silent reader here. Was really encouraged by the faith some of us possess here. It's amazing. When I went to submit my application last month, VFS officer told me "you are submitting late" considering my program starts commences in a couple of weeks, but the Holy Spirit told me "I got you". Nothing is a rule out with God truth be told. Be encouraged everyone! |
