Nokia Brings The Flagship Killer, Nokia 8 by Nobody: 7:52pm On Aug 17, 2017
After eager fans have been waiting for a device that will trump the other seeming flagships available in the market, Nokia has finally dropped the 'baby monster' in a special event held yesterday, the Nokia 8.

It has a 5.3 inch QHD IPS LCD screen, protected by cornings gorilla glass 5 with an amazing pixel density of 554. You wouldn't find any pixels even if you tried pixel peeping. The body has gone through a thorough development to forged an aluminum unibody which has the Nokia brand engraved at the back. It houses a qualcomm snapdragon 835 octacore processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB. An optional 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is embedded in the polished blue version of it. It has a hybrid sim tray which houses either two nano sims or a nano sim and a memory card.

The audio produced from the speakers and video recording is Hollywood standard state of the art 360 degree spatial that picks up even the tiniest details while recording, all thanks to Nokia OZO, resulting in super crisp and clear audio.

The back houses two 13MP carl zeiss cameras with laser and phase detection autofocus and dual tone flash which can work individually or simultaneously depending of how much depth one wants to acquire in a photo. One is a standard 13MP lens with OIS while the other is a 13MP monochrome lens. At the front is another 13MP lens for selfies. Now here's the beautiful part... nokia has become the first mobile brand to develop a term #bothie. How this works is that both the rear and front lenses can work simultaneously in producing a picture from both ends in a single shot. Clever isn't it? Another good thing is that live videos can also be recorded from either rear and front cameras and streamed directly to Facebook or other streaming platforms like YouTube. All three cameras can record in 4K video format.

Out of the box is running android 7.1.1 and HMD home of Nokia phones promises at least two years of early upgrades to the next iterations or flavors of android so the fluid android experience is there on the go. There will also be monthly security updates so you are always protected. The phone like its younger siblings the Nokia 3, 5 & 6 boast clean and stock android which works less on the ram and consumes less space...no bloat ware or unnecessary applications.

Other colors will be steel grey, matte tampered blue and polished copper.

It is a 4G enabled phone with a fingerprint sensor among other sensors and USB type c for quick charging.

Accurately priced at $700 to compete with the other flagships, it is expected to be a little over #200,000 in the Nigerian market. But it is expected that only the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant will be made available in Nigeria.

Great phone specs coming from Nokia if only they targeted the budget friendly pockets of the masses, they would have recorded instant success but alas they opted for the flagship friendly hence would be really slow in gaining popularity.

when others are still battling for 6gb ram, asus have innovate there 6gb ram since 2016,even have launch there 8gb ram device, atleast lets wait till this fone hit the market b4 will comfirm the specs, let in not be like BlackBerry keyone that they overhyped the specs, then after the fone hit the market am disappointed....more innovation #teamnokia

Really So you're saying #50,000 is budget friendly for the average Nigerian?? Well I guess we'll all have to go back and redefine budget friendly. Sorry but I'll pass.
Re: Nokia Brings The Flagship Killer, Nokia 8 by Nobody: 11:22am On Aug 19, 2017
We both know it's 43k right now. Plus budget is budget save for the exchange rate which is d reason why it is at that price. And yeah an average Nigerian can afford 50k. What needs to be redefined is who an average Nigerian is

Even nokia is not advertising this as a flagship killer. They made a phone anybody can use and not complain and d price is fair for the specs... Not everyone will be a OnePlus
