I need more clarification on the POF please. Do we have to leave the funds in the account after showing it?? My hubby has this idea that the money is untouchable after showing it.

This POF matter is a bit dicey. People prefer not to touch it just in case they are required to show POF again later on. But if you can replace it as fast as you touch it cool then you can go about your normal business like a boss cool

A quick one house, this is quite peculiar, I am hopeful for an ITA based on my IELTS scores, other credentials and what I am able to get on CRS calculator, only ECA is delaying my submission, however I have a daughter, though not married(Never married), I will want to include my daughter in my application for EE, the mother is cool with it and we have no custody issue (She's married to someone else), Is it advisable to declare her as a dependant? Won't questions be raised?
Please advise on how best to approach this.
NB: She's 10 yrs old.

That means mine is very on point then.

There's no mention of the money being equivalent to the POF at all.

closetextrovert:

SOA is statement of account.

Below is what is required to be in your banker's ref by CIC.

“The applicant should provide an official letter(s) from one or more financial institutions that lists all current bank and investment accounts as well as outstanding debts, such as credit card debts and loans.

The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include;
1. the applicant’s name

2.the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address)

3.the account numbers

4.the date each account was opened and

5.the current balance of each account as well as the average balance for the past six months”.

Once AOR has been got, the scores are locked in, adding spouse then won't affect your scores, they just need to show pof for two people, medicals and pay PR fees and rights.

Oh Okay. Thank you.

I dont see any problem with adding your daughter as a dependent. It will not raise any issue. Infact if you dont add her as a dependant/family member now, it will pose a problem in future if you ever want to file for her to join you in canada. She needs to reflect in your application whether she is going with you or not. You will also need to show POF for family of 2.

Go ahead and include her. But if i remember clearly, she and her mum might have to do medicals. then you will also need to show proof of funds for her although you tick that they are non-accompanying.

If yours is in this format then you are on point.

Your banker's ref doesnt need to say what your balance is equivalent to, i said that because with the exchange rate going up and down i cant categorically say what the POF is in naira. Sorry for any confusion.

@Derel,if she wishes to practice in Canada she has to write exams and pass within 5 years of obtaining evaluation report.

Ok, Thanks, but for the POF, this will be done irrespective of whether she's going or not at the moment?

@Derel,no you don't need to register and take exams before evaluation. You have 5 years to write your exams and pass after evaluation. If after 5 years you do not pass your exams, you have to evaluate your documents again.
Remember your school would send your transcripts to them,PSN would send your licence then you would send the printout of online form you filled together with notarized B.pharm, int passport or birth certificate, passport photograghand ECA form because you would need the ECA for express entry.
B.pharm and int passport would be photocopy then you notarize.

This is just a summary, go to pebc website and get a detailed information and instructions.

God bless you. You have just cleared this.

My son's date of birth was wrong on his e-medicals. We noticed immediately the admin person handed the e-medicals report to us but we were told they could not correct it as they had sent the medicals already. We had to get the Dr that did the medicals to write a letter that it was a mistake from them. We attached the letter with the e-medicals.

Okay. Thank you sis

I was done with filling d forms and submitted before a message was sent to my account concerning d noc.
I v different job experiences with different noc codes, I don't really know if I should just choose d one that only applies to my primary occupation instead of listing all my job experiences

Choose the current job noc. Is everything for the same office? What does ur office ref letter specify as ur job description BTW?

Yes. You have to. Most people don't include their spouses until after because they want to get higher CRS points. However, it takes a longer time after PR to sponsor a dependent.

Can you verify the actual amount she has to pay? C$550 or C$325

Also, that means she doesnt have to register on www.pharmacistsgatewaycanada.ca but only www.pebc.ca right?

Because here is what i am seeing on the Pebc website;

If you complete the online portion of the application but do not send PEBC the paper application:

Your application will be withdrawn
You will be charged an administrative fee of $150CAD

Please between Oanda.com and xe.com, which is the most reliable for exchange rates? the disparity is too much as at today(N266-1CAD for oanda and N289-1 CAD for xe)?. this PoF must bot cause high BP

Hi, both are reliable Canadian companies with XE.com, which was formerly known as Xenon Laboratories Inc. founded in 1993 and based in Toronto and Oanda.ca which came later in 1996, also HQ'd in Toronto. Another currency exchange is Transferwise. launched in 2011. Based on this article, XE is the biggest of the 3 and actually highly respected, http://www.smoothstat.com/compare/xe.com-vs-oanda.com/

Due to rapidly evolving market movements, there are sometimes disparities in the exchange rates they quote daily for currencies but CIC is guided by the rates published by the Bank of Canada and not by the private currency exchanges. Unfortunately, the Naira is not publicly quoted on Bank of Canada website but we use XE and Oanda to have a benchmark to work with when calculating POF and it is wise to work with the higher quoted rates at any time so as to be above the curve. Hope this helps.

You should get married after he submits!!! If you get married before he submits he'll need to reject the ITA cos his points will have to be re-calculated which will come below his current CRS
Abbylee:
Good morning guys,

Remember I asked some questions on behalf of my fiancee in the last thread. Someone suggested us getting married first and adding me to his application as a dependant before he submits.

I have a couple of questions please...

1. For my fiancee: Please how does one go about getting a new passport if the old one is lost, especially after ITA has been received? How does one notify CIC and at what point? Note that E-Application will due for submission first week in November.

2. For me: Can i claim points for my NYSC experience? I was posted to a school, but i never went there, I worked elsewhere which is where i am till date, total of 3 yrs in September including the NYSC experience. Can this fly? The company won't have any issue giving me a reference letter saying i worked for 3 yrs(NYSC included). Must my NYSC details be requested for at any point?

3. Which approach is better/faster, more efficient, more everything lol? - We are not sure how quickly we can do court wedding (you know how dramatic parents can be) before the deadline for his application or should we apply separately? I have done my WES and plan to take the belts next month. Is adding me after he submits his application more complicated?

Thanks a lot guys!!!

As adviced, let him add u after submission (may take longer to process) but still better.

It would also save u the stress of writing ielts grin
