They aren't irritated by it.
Just trying to regulate some provocative activities on it.

China has one of the most regulation on the citizens' internet activities, behind North Korea. Yet it still has the largest Internet subscriber base.

Internet usage is not all about Afonja vs Flat¡no vs Aboki
Bro China is not a case study reason being population .

Ridiculous!
This data is very ridiculous. So I should believe that Nigeria uses more data than Germany and UK?
Do you know that most people only stream movies online and don't download? Downloading from many websites are illegal and one can be fined so they stream!
Check out their YouTube channels and check the number of views. Even for Nigerian songs, the number of views are geared up by foreigners and Nigerians living abroad because data over WiFi is cheap and in many cases free. I get free WiFi whenever I get to my bus stop. At home the WiFi is unlimited at a very cheap price. you cant function without the internet, checking your transportation schedules, looking out for the weather (Yeah! Very compulsory), etc.
I doubt the evaluation methods used, may be they are judging by the number of phone users or Facebook access which by in any case is a reflection of the population and not necessarily how much internet data each country uses.
At least they can't make up such a figure. Do you know the number of smartphone owners in Nigeria compared to the total population? Many of which actively use the internet.
Many of you diasporans still have the photographic knowledge of 1995 etched in your memories about Nigeria since you relocated. You need to come home and witness the modern day Nigeria first hand

You almost said nothing. The population of China is about 2 billion. Added to the fact that China is technologically advanced. Which other country do you expect to have the highest internet subscription rate?

Bros! Pls read again. The report is based on the number of Internet users not on the volume of usage. Nigeria has about times the population of Germany or England, so it's only natural that they have a higher number of Internet users. Pls be reminded that Nigeria is no longer that third world country, we have improved tremendously in some certain areas. I personally use about 7.5GB of data a month on my mobile phone and so do my friends.

Keeping a whole lot of things constant. e.g. Electricity, internet availability, Internet penetration, money to sub, etc etc.

use your brain!

My reaction to the guy was based on the state government regulation of the internet activities of her citizens and the effect on the internet base.
Has the Chinese regulation on the internet activities of her citizens or not, reducing the number or users?

Moreover, Chinese estimated population is less than 1.4 billion. How you got your "close to 2billion is appalling!

I think it's a consequence of the population, Nigerian population is double the size of the German population. But if you talk about percentage of internet users in a country, then you may have a point.

Mr man go and sit down one place.
Ask yourself whether China and N Korea practices true democracy. You want Nigeria to become a communist country or do you want it to be a dictatorship?

Why can't you cite USA, Canada, Britain, to mention but a few.

Not outrightly true, Kano is said to be densely populated than Ogun yet no where near the internet usage, please spare me of the usual street gist of fraudulent census unless you have an official census figure

What has this got to do with the topic?

Don't spew rubbish about areas you have not lived. outside Yenagoa in Bayelsa every other place has only 2g which is very frustrating to browse with. I have been to Escravos area in Delta it is the same thing, even to make call you have to move around looking for network. How can people use services that are not available to them? huh huh huh

Ok. However, number of users alone is not the most important information. What is important is percentage of users and volume.

However, you use 7.5GB a month right? I have used over 25 GB this month and still have 3 days left from my smartphone and I don't really use it half as much as my tablet or laptop. I don't even consider myself a heavy user.
Thanks for pointing those things out all the same.

You lack manners of constructive argument, can't you just make a point and convince me without throwing insult. Anyhow, the article was based on China and North Korea leading Nigeria. So it's proper to think you are comparing Nigeria to them. Anyhow sha.

This is how olodos fail exams, internet usage simply means more people are connected to the internet than germany and uk not necessarily means more data usage. Just typing long meaningless epistle full of rubbish.
