@ underlined, the wordings of the hadith is "follow my Sunnah and the Sunnah of my Khulafah, who are rashidun, mahdiyin".

* Rashidun are they who know the truth and follow it.

* Mahdiyin are they who are being guided by Allah.

* The Sunnah of Nabi and that of the aforementioned Khulafah is ONE and unison. Hence the hadith used singular " Sunnah" instead of plural "Sunan".

Any Khalifah that failed those three descriptions is definitely not among those Khulafah mentioned in the hadith.

# The bitter truth which many Sunni do not want to admit is that Khalifah Umar Ibn al-Khattab was never among the Khulafah Rashidun Mahdiyin. He introduced lots of innovation into Islam, and deliberately ruled over existing Sunnah of Nabi for reason personal reasons and desires.

Onus is on you. You said Sheikh Uthaymeen corrected S. Umar(ra) on triple talaq. Why didnt Sheikh Uthaymeen follow Umar since hadith says to follow sunnah of sahaba?. Why did he have to correct him?. Did he know better than S. Umar(ra)?.

# That is one huge blow to the entire Sunni especially the blinded Salafi. On one hands, there are records of mistakes that these so called "Khulafah Rashidun" made. On the other hands, they remained "Rightly Guided" to them. Some blindly follow their huge mistakes in deen, some like Uthaymeen did not in some aspect yet considered them to be "Rightly Guided". I wonder what kind of guidance was that when so-called Khulafah Rashidun deliberately ruled over the laws of God and the Sunnah of His Nabi.

This guy is totally unreasonable. If he were someone with a functioning brain, with all the refutations you, albaqir et al have tabled, he would have been cured.
