That the IPOB business card is the new thing in town, Some people will use it to steal. Some people will use it to kill. Some people will use it as a means to get power. Some people will use it to divide Nigeria . Some people will use it to unite Nigeria. My my my country of birth, have your children from the east not forsaken you ? My my my country of birth, have your children from the east ridiculed not your name enough, by engaging in drug trafficking ?, Ritualism ? Kidnapping? Assassination? Money laundering? Corruption? Adulteration of food ? Fraud? Bunkering? Please Nigeria should allow these inheritor's of soddom and gommora to go before, what be fell their ancestors befall Nigeria again. # rotten eggs must go .

That's really a good move. We need a peaceful Nigeria. Restructuring is the way forward. |

I noticed softening of tone from Nnamdi Kanu. He may be backing down from rhetorical hate speech and threats of annihilating Nigerians |

Now the igbos are talking, this is what una suppose to have done long time ago not all those empty threats and violence insinuations. Now I support Biafra if una truly wants it and if una will fight for it in a civilized way. Oya first of all, REFERENDUM |

You are filled with so much vile and hate, retreat your steps and understand people have a right to free will and peaceful association. Secession is legal in every part of the world, Nigeria shouldn't be an exception. |

Valfrankie:What is beauty without brain? Even Catalonia whose Capital is Barcelona wants to leave Spain. Self-determination is valid. Nigeria is a signatory to International law and Referendum is allowed. Let's even have this referendum and see what Nigerians think and not what few politicians that are not up to 5% of the Nigerian population think. Nigeria will never be civilized if we can't get things like Refrendum done. UK via referendum is opting out of EU even when many of its political class differ. But the people decided and their will was honoured. No one said the union of EU or even UK that lumped us together for their economic gains was non-negotiable. I'm not surprised, majority of Blacks can't think independently and that's why we will forever be doing the biddings of Oyinbos. The fact is Nigeria is never United and with the way things are, we may never be. I'm Yoruba and I see how many people hate Igbos. If you hate them that much, and claim they are disgracing your country, shouldn't common sense tell you that you should allow them go? |

doctokwus:Nice suggesion but a very faulty and selfish one though coming from someone with sympathy for IPOB (Na our Brother syndrome), one can understand why you took this position. Now, let me point out a few things: (and l want people to respond vigorously to my post, but in a calm, decent and intellectual manner) 1.) Yes, Kanu is assuming a Cult-figure amongst his followers/supporters. But we all know what happens to such "cult-figures", when they decide to take on the Govt of a country, any country! They get hunted down (and this may tale time but in th eend, the result is always the same) and jailed or killed, depending on the severity of their actions. Whether it is Shekau, Lords Resistance Army War Lord or Yommie Johnson, Cult figures will eventaully go down. So, Kanu assuming a Cult-like figure is the least of things the fedral Govt should worry about. It is his choice and he would bear the consequence. 2.) Massaging Kanu's ego: Govt does not need to massage any individual's ego, be it Kanu or Shekau or other agitators from othe roarts of the country! The fact that the person has an "ego" that needs massaging, is the foundation of their downfall. Ego, makes the person carrying it, do stupid things that brng about their downfall. Kanu has been all over the place abusing everyone, including our President and claiming he is "not afraid", poking a Federal High Court Judge in the face, flouting bail conditions, threatening the security of the country, setting-up parallel security organisations in challenge to constituted authorities, acting arrogantly like he is some "Untouchable Spirit from Mars and many more provocative actions, all in an effort to portray the image of invincibility to his mumu followers.... these are all signs of a very swollen ego about to be seriously busted! Unfortunately, Fed Govt is not in the mood to assit him in that endeavour rather, Govt will apply the law of the land to him, in all capacities and deal with him appropriately. The "brotherly" Senators who went ot visit Kanu have heard the news and seen the hand writting on the wal, so to speak, ![]() They have listened to the Presidential Order given to the Armed Forces and even a child who is not educated or intelligent at all, knows that Kanu is about to feel the heat! Did you not read that even Kanu's Minister for Transport appointee has publicly told him to behave and not drag him into his childish tantrums? I am speaking about Prof. jerry Gana. Those are people who can interprete a "Presidential Directive", given to the Military. Go figure. Contd... |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Meets With South-East Senators (Video, Photos) by Daboomb: 10:13pm On Aug 23, 2017 |
3.) Re-integrate Igbos into the mainstream and give them juicy appointments: First, no one marginalised the Igbos, they are where they are today simply because of repeated and continious poor judgement! I said 'repeated and continious' because the same policy, actions and methods that they have been adopting since 1966, which has always given them poor results and made them 2nd-class citizens, is what they are still adopting till today and in the nearest feasible future. Igbos are not dynamic, flexible and foresighted enough in their political calculations and where they even attempt to be, personal and selfish interest has always been their overriding principle such that only "individuals" insteadof the Igbo as a nation of people, benefits. To use an example, note that the South West had a raw deal under the first term of OBJ (as they did not vote for him and rightly so too! Funny enough, Igbos did not complain in the favor of Yorubas, back then). Again, the South West had an even worse, raw deal from the past Jonathan administration (despite being the ones who virtually brought him to power in 2009!) Again, we did not hear the Igbos complain on their behalf, bwteen 2009 and 2015. b]So, if you did not support a Party and candidate with your BLOC VOTES (in bloc, as against individual preferences),[ it is only natural that if that Candidate and paerty wins the elelction, you have already relegated yourself to "playing opposition".[/b] This is what the South West experienced with OBJ in 1999. It is even worse if you "openly show hatred" (on religious and tribal elevel) towards a party and candidate, then confirmed it with a BLCO VOTE for another candidate, only for your prefered candidate to lose the elelction! You will not only play opposition, you will play second fiddle and you will be dealt with, using a very long Pole because your LOYALTY is not just suspect but it is proven to be elusive. Right now, The Govt cannot trust "most" Igbo appointees not to sabotage their efforts, for their own personal and selfish gain. Go back and read all the 'negative prayers, bad wishes and outright evil pronouncements' mainly from Igbos, as a Bloc, on Buhari. Imagine if Prof. Osinbajo was an Igbo person and was acting president, while his principal (Buhari) was sick and away for about 4months! Imagine what would have happend, going by all the subterfuge and schemings that even Senators of Igbo extraction were planning with Saraki (That Abaribe, ehn!), to outwit Buhari. The Igbo Acting President would just have seized he opportunity to announce a referendum, declare himself President or declare Biafra. This is the TRUTH most people would not tell Igbos: You are JUST NOT TRUSTED! How then can you put untrustworthy people in "sensitive positions", just so as to assauge their feelings? Voting the way you like is Democracy, Voting "Openly En-Bloc" along ethnic and tribal lines like putting all your eggs in one basket, if it falls, (if you lose), everything breaks and you lose everything. So, it is left for Igbos to learn from History and plot a way forward by integrating themselves back into the main stream of Nigerian Politics. Nobody is going to come begging them with Juicy appointments because they are no longer the "Bride" that they could be! Infact, the "5% phrase" sums it all. It means you can eff-off with your votes. ![]() The Igbos unfortunately, have not learn the lesson of history. This Nnamdi Kanu boy is making things worse for them and they even do not know! He cant realise Biafra for them( that much is certain) yet he is spoiling their chances ina united Nigeria! There wont be any Referendum (since there is no provision for it in the Nigerian Constitution) and even if there was one, you cant force other tribes to take part in such referendum since they are not interested in diving Nigeria. If the Igbos want a Referendum, they better conduct one for themselves, in their Eastern Region even if it is a nullity and waste of time but hoping that the Fed Govt will conduct one for them, is like hoping Armed Roberrs will become nice one day and set-up a fund, to Equip the Police with sophisticated Guns! ![]() Until the Igbos learn to be humble, be less arrogant, be more tolerant and respectful of others, know that Politics is a game of numbers and only those who are accomodating of others, can increase their numbers, stop speaking from both sides of their mouth (Biafra they want, yet they complain of not being given juicy appointments in the fed Govt of Nigeria! You cant eat your cake and still have it), build bridges and be less antagionising... ...Until then, they need to have a well equipped Army that will bring their dreams to reality because that is the ONLY OTHER OPTION they have. |
